uhoriginal-yup. Maybe I'm the blind one that doesn't see that the proposed tax plans are geared for people that are making a hella lot more money than me-even combined. Maybe I'm the deluded one making just over 100k combined and that is rich and I need to vote for Palin/Mcsame because their ideas are brand new-cough, cough-b.s.!!
America does need to change, but I'm pretty sure when Mccain speaks of a change it is his diaper.

as a multiple gun owner, I'm confident that the 2nd Amendment will not be changed. His stand is basically leaving up to state legislatures to decide gun laws-I can agree with that!
So back to these so-called tax breaks McCain is going to give...
I hate the fact that I don't fall in the tax brackets that McCain will be giving the biggest breaks to!!

You do bring up an excellent point. Would you not say two years ago the economy was much better. You would have to agree the last two years the economy has been on a down hill ride, kind of like a snow-ball! What went wrong? What Changed? Congress! How much power do you really think the President has over the economy? Yes President has power, but Congress has even more power. The President has the right to veto Congres, and Congress must pass the legislation that the President puts forth to Congress.
Well, we now have a strong Democratic Congress, it's the majority. This is the strongest Democratic Congress since 1993, (gee ain't that when interest rates where like anywhere for 8 - 11% for mortgages. - Republican Congress Interest Rates where down to 5.25% - 6% - but they are on there way back up) Two or Three years ago, all the Democrats were promising the "CHANGE" let them Congress, and they will make things CHANGE... Well they have certainly done that.

One dont be so confident your 2nd Amendment rights? Anything could change...
So instead of Tax Breaks, you rather pay higher taxes.... That's what the Democratic Congress is already pushing for... And if Democrats get their universal medical insurance coverage, who do you think is going to pay for that, higher taxes...

higher taxes? Did you look at the tax increase/decrease graph at all? The economy was snowballing for more than two yrs-come on. Nothing this severe can be fixed in 2 yrs no matter what parties are in congress. Interest rates were at an all time low and people were buying houses faster than they could be built. Of course lowering rates will make getting into a home more affordable. It's that pesky monthly mortgage that just doesn't seem to quit. Why have foreclosures increased so much in the last 4yrs?

1st quoting the Washington Post means nothing to me, bcz I know the Washington Post News Paper is a Liberal News paper... I tend to look at resources, case studies, and non-partison sources... Such as below... I will surely look into what you point out in regards to McCain's stand on Taxes, and I will tell you this, McCain is not my first choice, but Obama is no where close on my list...
http://www.congresslink.org/print_lp_electionsim_casestudies_resources.htm#democrats
Take the time to research the meaning of the two parties. Honestly I think it is sad that there is such a party-line now-a-days, but there is. It's almost to the point of two different styles of goverment....
I choice the party that best matches my beliefs and what i stand for...

yeah, you're right. America's infrastructure definitely doesn't need any work. Just ask any affected loved one in the Bridge that crumbled during rush hr. traffic in Minnesota.

Anoriginal, You should have only read this much to see that he believes anything he reads. Its obvious, He blames everything on Bush or Republicans. I guess its the presidents fault that this bridge collapsed. I know that it couldn't be these lazy azz workers that are hired today that people call inspectors, that don't have a clue how to inspect crap, but they do know how to sign their name on that check that they receive every week for showing up and acting like they know what they are doing.

All I know is that I cannot afford any more taxes. The Democrats normally RAISE taxes to pay the way for lazy people who dont want to work and just feed off the system, along with medical for illegal immigrants who do not even pay taxes but make up a group that has increased the crime rate by 40% . Lets face it the people running our country are financially loaded and will not increase taxes on themselves so that leaves us the disappearing middle class to pay for all the special programs. You wanna stimulate our economy get rid of whats holding us back. How can we spend money on things which keeps business going and inturn lowers the unemployment rate if all our money is spent paying taxes. Get rid of all the freeloaders cutting off the foodstamps, wic checks and other handouts to individuals capable of working and illegal immigrants. We don't need anymore taxes just trim the fat off the budget.

I say we get all the lazy people on welfare and let them do all the work to fix the infrastructure of this country. Make them earn those food stamps and those welfare checks. Also get them fixed in the hospital while they are having that child for FREE!!

For the record, as Senator:
Obama co-sponsored a Bill that would provide funding for social services for NON citizens...
Voted YES to allow ILLEGAL aliens to access OUR Social Security...
Oh yea, and voted NO to declare ENGLISH as the official language of the US Goverment.....

Speaking of taxes, The Wall Street Journal took a hard look at Obama’s tax plan. They figure (as do countless other economists) that Obama's tax plan will mean a 52% income/payroll tax, 28% capital gains tax, 40% dividend tax, 40% personal income tax and a whopping 55% estate tax. If that doesn't make you sick, you need to take your pulse to see if you're not already dead.
did a search on WSJ.com and couldn't find that, but again found this...
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121867201724238901.html?mod=opinion_main_commentaries
yunt, I was simply agreeing with the plan to restructure America's infrastructure. I'm not attempting to put the blame on any party or one person for the collapse of the bridge. Making a significant point that this is not the only outdated structure in America's infrastructure that was in need of attention/repair/replacement. If creating jobs in the homeland is a bad idea, then I must be an idiot with crazy ideas that won't work.

How about Mr. Obama's "Global Provery Act", don't we have enough issues here...
How does he entail that we pay for this act.... Ah, do I hear, more taxes....

Oh just more little tid-bit....
"
I am consistently on the record and Will continue to be on the records, as to opposing carring concealed weapons",
goes on to say, the only citizens he would give consideration to carry concealed weapons is "retired police officers", but is totally against it for the average citizen...
Further note... The good Senator from Illinois, Obama, not only supports,
but ENDORSES the Illinois handgun ban
... Believes and states,
that the local government has the right to ban guns from their citizens, in order to PROTECT it's citizens.....
And to say, you are not concerned about losing your right to bear arms... Hey it is already happening in some communities, and it is allowed, it will grow and grow. I have always said, you take away the Right to Bear Arms, then only criminals will have guns....

Ever notice the places where people are not allowed to carry concealed weapons have the most heinous crimes committed with weapons (proof that if the ban guns only the criminals will have them). Like the colledge shootings if professors and other students were able to carry, the physco may have thought twice or would have been stopped after the first couple shots. Same with bank robberies. The whole purpose of a concealed weapons permit is to show the person who is carring is not a criminal but is a responsible person trying to protect him/herself.

Cheropride, what part of Obama's stance did you not understand on gun laws.
He is going to leave it up to the individual states to decide the laws. If your state decides to enstate a ban or new law then you could write your governor. Even before that would happen, there would be an amendment which would we vote on at the polls. Do you honestly think they would send out officials and go to each home a gun is registered in and round up all the firearms.
