Any Eagle Scouts here? If so, what year and what troop?

Just curious.

Come on now. It seems I remember seeing at least one or two members here saying they were Eagle Scouts a while back.

Anyone?

Troop 348 and 321 in Seminole (Pinellas County). Summer camps at Flying Eagle in the early-mid 70's.

I earned Eagle November 1973 at 13 years old. Presentation ceremony was in March 1974, a couple of weeks before my 14th birthday.

I joined Order of the Arrow Timuquan Lodge 340 the following summer.

I always wanted to go to Philmont, but never made it.

Camp Flying Eagle was awesome! Chillinthemost and I were in the Scouts together and spent time there in the late 70's, early 80's. Lots of good memories.

As soon as my son is of age, he will join the Cub Scouts.

I was a Tenderfoot for 3 years. Our meetings were held in a American Legion. The Scoutmaster never left the bar. We just screwed off every week on Thursday for a hour and then go camping 3 or 4 times a year. That was too bad. I do remember most of the Boy Scout creed or what ever you called it.

I remember going to a Jamboree in the Everglades and our troop leader got us lost at night. We pitched tent in an open field and our leader promised to find out where we were in the morning. We were the laughing stock of the Jamboree when we woke up in the freakin parking lot one campsite over.
I quit the next day and joined a gang!!  Kidding...I waited to get my next patch, then I quit. I'm still kidding...I never got my patch.
