Two things to consider; just like any other high priced toy, a boat will never sell for as much as you paid for it unless you received a hellaciously good deal, especially with the current consumer sentiment.  Secondly, never forget the old adages; a boat is nothing more than a hole in the water you pour money into and the two happiest days in a boater's life is the day he bought it and the day he sold it.

Just my 2cents, we have a 21 foot Searay in our backyard....  I think we have taken it out 4 times, if that, and not even once this whole summer....  Hubby really really wanted it, but for whatever reason, we just never take it out....  Well, it's probably due to the fact that every chance we get, we go ride.... some words of wisdom: whenever the economy is in the toilet like it is right now, the value of luxury items (i.e. dirt bikes, quads, boats, rv's, etc) goes in the toilet.  That's the first thing people stop spending money on.

yeah i dont think anything is selling right now i think id rather have a boat than a bike for a little while cause theres nowhere to ride and nobody to ride with but the boat theres tons of lakes around and i can bring more than one person with me and i can fish tube or wake board with it so i might just trade the guy would it be a smart move though??

I just put mine up for sale last week, but I would really rather keep it because it has been fun. Just wanting to invest in something different. Oh well, I will just have to get another in a few years.

This is true................
but also the wise buyers will be looking for the great deals
from the folks that are looking for some fast cash.
