Well today I learned more about Roketa and chinese bikes than I ever wanted to know. Not good, and I now understand why they want nothing to do with you after the sale!!! Thank god I didn't buy this new... Roketa has not returned any of my e-mails and the dearler in Apopka wanted nothing to do with me. The dealers usually don't get what they ordered, what are my chances.

Anyway, I visited a repair shop in Pea Ridge, Fl nearby Milton, and they filled me in. I found the reverse lever, they can order it, only costs $75 plus shipping, Good luck I said. And I was introduced to SEA FOAM, put it in my gas and ran about 8 miles and now it purrs like a kitten on Idle. Lengthened the Idle screw to set that by getting a shorter spring.
Now I'm looking for the Reverse Lever... from a scrap Roketa or a cheaper source than new.
I'm visiting a guy from a lawnmower shop hear in Pensacola tomorrow, he said he has 3 five gallon buckets full of splined levers, metric and such. Mabey I'll hit gold.

Otherwise, does anyone have something that will fit on the end of the shaft in the picture???
The bike is a MODEL # EX-250 Utility   (part 10 mm 24 splined doohickey)

glad to see you got it idling right. i cant believe i haven't told you about seafoam yet. seafoam is great stuff, but for best results you should poor it directly down the carb while its running(it will white smoke ALOT as your doing this) and poor enough untill it drowns it out and the motor stalls. let the motor sit with the seafoam in it for an hour or so, some people let it sit all night, its up to you. then start it up, it will be hard to get it started and then you have to go drive it for a bit untill it clears out and stops smoking like crazy. i do this on anything of mine, the truck, golf cart, atv, boat, ect all get sea foamed when running bad, or in the trucks case, its just fun to watch it smoke like a 2 stroke lol. then your supposed to run what you have left through your tank. and you should always change your spark plugs after doing this as well. marvel mystery oil is a cheeper alternative that you can get at walmart but its more of a lubricant than a cleaner like seafoam, its better for diesels becasue its not hard on the injectors like seafoam is. i always keep a little bit of marvel mystery in the garage, never know when your bored enough to use it on something lol

and you should know that what you've done is the half ass way to clean your carb, you should have just taken the carb apart and it would have solved your prob, i should have realized you needed to clean your carb when you said it wasnt running right becasue i know that your not the kind of guy that has ever touched any of the adjustments on the carb, so it had to be a dirty carb. but hey if seafoam worked for you than why not. it will clean out your whole motor/fuel system so thats a plus...

Yeah I already put it in the gas tank an ran it, I coulden't believe the difference. I'll try what you said after I run this trough because it still back fires a llittle when I let off.
Believe it or not this carb does not have any other tunning screws, just the idle one mentioned.
I just visited "CRAZY CARL" in Defuniac Springs and he pulled my carb of the shelf and explained.
It was like he was showing a Dog how to flush a toilet, Uhuh I said. Its electronic tunning???

Anywho, I'm still looking for the doohicky that will get me in motion...
its a 9-10mm 24 splined cupling or something that will fit on a 9-10 mm 24 splined shaft.

I'll be back.

if you don't find it locally just get it welded on, as long as you don't need to change splines for adjustability or anything.

yea, if you can get the part and have the money, than it would be better than welding.

Its about time. If anyone needs an nearly expert on a ROKETA EX-250 utility drop me an e-mail.
It runs like a dream. After exausting almost every motorcycle dealer in Pensacola and 3 chinese bike dealers and hours or reaserch and specialty shops visits in the area "I GOT NOWHERE" !!! The only true help came from a guy on this site "CHEVY1500Z71", working my problems out with me. I finally found the Reverse Swing Arm on the Roketa site under a ATV parts section and built it using what was left of the original part. Works great. Then I put in a new back flow preventer that I took off when I was fixing the gas lines and that fixed the not staring problem after sitting awile. Its DONE!!! When I paint it and install my remote controlled winch I'll post some pictures. All I have to do now is find a place to go trail riding, anyone want to go?? I need a place to ride in the Western Fl area.
Thanks again "CHEVY1500Z71" and this site.
