I'm looking at using this sub and want to know what would be a good amp for it that would work well with the sub without issues, trying to use this sub in this enclosure as it will fit where i want without having to make an enclosure.

the height of my seat which would be the maximum depth of my box, is maximum of 7 inches without hanging out of the seat

Yea guy, seriously listen to these guys. THat sub is a tota; piece of crap. You can get a lot of shallow mount subs that are better than that for around that price. Bostom makes a nice 10" and even the JL W0 is a much better sub. You dont need a big amp either, just stay away from Jensen, Pyle, Audiovox, in my opinion Audiobahn, and junk like that.
Seriously , by spending only 50$ more for a good sub and amp, you will great A LOT better quality stuff and sound MUCH better.

what ever sub you get make sure your box has the correct amount of airspace for that sub. that as well will make a huge difference in sound. too much air and too little airspace wont sound as good and clean

I have a 10" pioneer sub-woofer, and two alpine speakers( not sure of the wattage) under my rear seat powered by a 450 watt Alpine amp. It sounds really clear, just need to mess with the bass depending on the song. Tongue

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=boston+subwoofer&i=065G1104     here is a boston sub,,,you can find them cheaper elsewhere. But only require a .5 - .75 sealed enclosure...It is another example of a sub much better than the sony.

Even Pioneer makes a decent sub. Just do a search on ebay or something, then list on here all the ones that interest you and i will give my opinion as Im sure others will too...Good luck.

my friend has these kickers behind the seat in his f-250 on a 400 watt amp and they don't sound that good.
he didn't want to copy me so he got these and was very disappointed.
