IDK, Bones; seems to me there's much ado about nothing here.  I know it's your website but at this stage, this forum has attained it's own personality.  There are sections here for every aspect of the ATV life and this section is titled Open Discussion.  I have no problem with posts that I wouldn't want my mother to read be deleted but the current trend of censoring a thread that apparently is politically incorrect is troubling.  I believe the vast majority of the controversial threads that get started are truly all in jest and the participants, as well as the spectators, are laughing at the responses as much as I am.  Sure, some feelings may get bruised along the way, but just like any other medium, if you don't like what you see, change the channel.  And for those that are complaining, that's precisely what I would tell them.  I don't know how restrictive this new system is going to be and what led to it, but if the current crop of locked and deleted threads are any indication, I believe a very entertaining part of this site is going to suffer and along with it, the community will most likely shrink.  In addition, you're setting yourself (and the other mods) with even more babysitting chores than you already have.  I just hope this new role you've taken on the site does not become a knee-jerk reaction to the few pariahs that can't help but go running and crying to daddy.  Love the site just the way it's always been.  Please don't ruin it for the whims of the few.  Just my opinion.

Well, 44 views and no reply's wow.
The only reason for the additon is an easier way to warn people about derogatory posts. The main problem is the racist remarks. In fun or not, It's not allowed. There's also been alot of cussing going on, I'm not talking about damn,a$$ or even sh!t. It's the cussing people out in spanish and the f bombs that need to be nippedin the bud.
It's not about changing the rules or the site it's just keeping it clean or cleaner.

now that is funny and I agree with Digginfool all the remarks I have messed with but for the most part you dont even see me post on them anymore I take it in stride, only because when I post by the time I read some they are locked or deleted lol but I for one enjoyed reading them either way

Yes that is it basically. Of which is nothing really different than the last 2, 3 or 4 years. What new roles and chores is Diggin talking about? Not much has changed here. We just have a nice and easy warning system to use. It makes warning people for offensive behavior a simpler chore and puts the reason in public view for others to see and to show an action has been taken. It's also a lot easier to keep track of what exactly was the problem and who did it.

Life could get pretty hectic if you have to start clearing every post for a bunch of two-timers.  We don't know how strict you're going to be.  If the recent censorship is any indication, there's a bunch of us that will end up with green marks or more.  If that's the case, then it follows that a lot of us will have our posts cleared by moderators before being published.  Sounds like a bunch of work and a real PITA.  Not only that, but by the time the post is cleared, it won't be relevant anymore.  I guess we'll all just have to sit back and see.  Anyway, love the site Bones.
