Must have been some great stuff....oh well, I'm sure I had more fun at the Square grouper last night anyway. I can't imagine what went on inside my Keys thread to get it moved to moderators only, How the flotilla thread made it all the way to the morning amazes me...

I would triple my contribution to this site if I could read in the moderators only section...lol

See ya gents, time to go slaughter some fish. If anyone is down here PM me and we will have a drink or ten. Wink

Yeah, but isn't it the same old crap that makes those threads so amusing?   Laugh Rolling on the Floor Laughing

Freakin beautiful down here AO. I love when drought makes the bougainvilleas and poincianas bloom. Here is mine. It is still beat up from the 4 foot storm surge.

These dudes were tearing it up. I have to get one.

Good lord I love redneck women.

Was windy so I went  and dove the back country.

I will definitely see if I can be down here to have a few with you Matt!

My boat has been sitting next to that poinciana in the canal all winter. I hit the key and it fired right up. The rain actually cleaned it up all nice. Wink
My lift cylinder must leak down since I had a reef on my lower unit and I am sure I left it up....lol...or did I, but a few seagrass flat mudding adventures cleaned that right up.

QUAD: I would rather live where you are, South Florida is ok, but I would really prefer to be closer to the woods and away from this banana republic.

Sounds like we need to have a ATVF Keys fishing tournament to me.

Last summer, mine nearly sank (make sure your bilge pump is working) took on 5 or 6 hundred gallons while beached at John Lloyd in whisky creek. sunk my engine up to the altenator, and manage to bail until I could find the pump. Replaced the Alt, starter, drained the stale gas, 25 gal, and put fresh fuel in. Ran great at the house, but wouldn't idle at the dock. Sitting here now rebuilding the carb, well, it's soaking in the carb cleaner right now. Gotta love those Rochester Quadrajets!!

Now that sucks!!! I saw Harbor Freight has a 5HP 2" water pump for $199. I think I am going to get one for the hell of it.

I do love those Quadrabogs....I mean, you must need all those crazy balls, rods, springs and such in there. A sign of high tech if you ask me!!! I think I have a Holley 600cfm vacuum secondary somewhere in my garage with the adaptor plate for a Q-jet if you are interested...

got a fishing trip in the keys coming up in july also.  might be the same time you're down there ctngrs.  not sure which island yet but we've rented a house and some friends are taking their boat down.  we're thinking about making a trip all the way to key west while down there.

matt, have fun on your fishing trip!  i expect to hear some great stories w/ some pics when you get back.

Thanks Lauren. It is a family tradition for over 15 years now to go down around father's day for trip to slay the dolphin. We stay at our house on Little Torch and usually take about 3 boats plus the one down there. Fish for 4-5 days and have a really good time.

I think I'll stick with the Q-jet on the boat. However, that Holly might be good for the camp truck, AKA "Satan".

I ate there many times....Remember when Whale Harbor used to have good food? My family stopped there last year and the place was CRAP!!! The stir fry station just didn't have a lot of items like before, and the belgian waffle desserts were awful. NEVER AGAIN!!
