We have (3) classes scheduled in Sarasota for the month of June.
The dates are as follows

June 14th 8am to 12pm.........age 12 & older

June 22nd 12pmto 4pm........age 6-11 

June 29th 12pmto 4pm........age 12 & older

or call 1-800-887-2887

We will be scheduling (4) classed in July also dates and times TBA

Are the classes mandatory, or only for people under 16.

Here is the bad part. People who make up these laws have never even seen an ATV evidently.


 2. Age and model size requirements for ATV's ridden during the course: 
          Model Size Student Age
          less than 70cc  ......  age 6 and older
          70cc up to and including 90cc  ......  age 12 and older
          greater than 90cc  ......  age 16 and over

any one riding an ohv under the age of 16 on public land MUST have completed a course as of  july 1
I tried to sign up online thru the online enrollment and by calling 1-800-887-2887
they told me they had no classes scheduled yet for a 6 year old and when they got one they would contact me.
i contacted scooterb and he has a class for this sunday!!! Toast

where do they have classes for kids  my kids are 10 and 6 
call the 800 number there are having class at L-cross on the 21-22 two classes per day and if you bought a new bike i think you can sign up for free

To enroll in a class go to the web site www.atvsafety.org or call 1-800-887-2887

There are (2) age groups for classes

6yrs to 11yrs..........4 Per Class

12 yrs and Older......6-8 per Class

June 14th Class 12 yrs and Older

June 22nd Class 6 yrs to 11 yrs......1 spot left

June 29th Class 12 yrs and Older  2 spots left

We will be scheduling (2) of each classes (6-11 & 12 +) in July also........dates and time TBA

scott i got my daugter set up for the 22nd but the institute said it was a start time of 10 am and you told me it was 12 so if you can have kevin call me and confirm the time.

ALL students on the class roster will be contacted by their instructor
1 or 2 days before the class to confirm the following

Class Date and Time
Directions to the site
Availability of loaner ATV's
Proper protective gear required

need loaner   for my boys  also class for both at same time will call tomorrow to see about july  not driving 100 miles for   one  of my boys to take class
