Went to corbett today Had a great time but when we got back to the truck to load up FWC was waiting for us he said been waiting on us so he could tell us more-less our fun  was over for at least the next four months until hunting starts back up no riding on any trails other than the main grade or  tomato grade don't get caught any where else till then or get a ticket. what I don't understand what is the difference and why other than its the way we (FWC) want it. I really don't want to ride in hunting season maybe get shot and respect for the hunter. I would think that that's when they (FWC) would want you to ride but what do I know I am just a stupid ATV rider what are your thoughts later.

Dont go out there for atleast four months, in respect of the hunters and for the fear of getting shot at.

The way I read the regs, is that you need to stay on the numbered trails. Do not go off & wander around. I was out there 1 week ago & most the gates were locked. Makes no sense in hunt season they can take a buggy & tear up every inch of the place & non hunt season we cant take a vehicle that is 4k lbs less on the trails? I think you may have misunderstood.

Could be the animals they are considering since it is a WMA.  This is about the time where you will find a lot of offspring coming up.  Hen turkeys are sitting nest, I see a lot of little quail in the woods.

Where?  Those little quails on a stick taste good on the BBQ.  Wink

hey...I was just giving a possibility.  Consider this, these are the same animals they will tell people to go hunt in a few months.    BBQ quail on a stick does sound pretty good.

Bushwacker, he made it very clear on the no ride till first bow season he even took time out of his busy day to wait on us to get back to the truck to let us know with a rules & regulation highlighted in green on the dates and roads and also on the map where to ride. Don't get me wrong he was very nice and professional at his job but stay out of the trails till Aug. 11

On these dates and times: Apr 7 to Aug 11, Sep 17-27, on Sep 28 until 8 a.m., Oct 15 to Nov 1, on Nov 2 until 8 a.m., and Feb 11-29, motorized vehicles may be operated only on the North, South and Stumper’s grades, on trail 6, on Trail 3 between its junction with Tomato Field Grade and its junction with Trail 5, on Trail 5 between its junction with Trail 3 and its junction with the L-8 levee, and on the Tomato Field grade east of the Big Gopher canal.
4. From 8 a.m. Aug 24 through Sep 16 and from Mar 1 to Apr 6, vehicles may be operated only on named or numbered roads and named or numbered trails.
5. Vehicles may be operated only on named or numbered roads and named or numbered trails within the Roy R. Burnsed still hunt area

If it was up to me all vehicles would have to have a valid license plate and insurance to ride on the named and numbered roads only all year round.

i believe its for the animals, yes you will be hunting them in a few months but if they let people ride all year you will drive the animals out. heres a point.. say you live in an area kinda like loxahatchee used to be where there was one maybe 2 houses per road now theres house upon house and low income housing moves in and now would you stay or move to a less populated quiet neighbor hood like the one you have known forever?

it sucks we have no place to ride but its not worth losing a decent place to hunt and ride when it is available to us.

2cents deposited and no i don't want a refund...lmao
