Author Topic: suzuki lt80 starting problem  (Read 8074 times)

my son lt80 was running fine, he put it in the garage and the next weekend he went to ride and it would not turn over. i thought it was the battery so i charged it, still nothing so i changed the battery, still nothing Huh any ideas?

Check the starter selinoid (sp).

my friend has an lt 80 and its a pain in the but sum times it works and other times it dose not start i was puling him home cause it would not start and then when we got there it did most of the time its the battery or the stator

the newer lt80s have a circuit breaker in the start circuit,its located on the right rear frame rail under the plastic..it has a white button like reset.....

also the lt uses a relay instead of a solenoid,its black and near the battery,if the relay goes bad you can test by unplugging it and jumping the two large red wires together with a jumper..
