Another New Track

   This Sunday at 11am myself and a few others are auditioning for another new track. If anyone is interested in coming along send me a PM and I will send you directions, etc. This is a chance to get a head start on setup during this open session if this venue is added to our schedule. The cost is free.

    Just an update...after todays audition it appears we have found us a new track to race. The owner offered us a Saturday in April. There are one or two more details to sort out and then I can announce the exact date. We will have our own parking area and camping will be free to anyone who wants to come in and stay. He has also promised to provide top 3 trophies for each class. Knobbies will not be allowed. As far as tires go my own suggestion to everybody is to bring a hard tire. The Micro Sprint guys will also be able to race there on the same date.

      As far as track/facilities description....hard fast surface, fence is way off the race surface like Jasper, configuration is 1/5 mile D-shaped oval like Valdosta, plenty of parking, and is located just off I-4 and the Polk Expressway in Auburndale.

    Thank You to everybody who came out, I really didn't expect so many for just an audition.

  In addition to this good news I have a meeting with another track owner this Wedsnesday. He has 40 vacant acres and wants to build us a track. Not just any track but a track to our specs, plus he is willing to build a TT in the center. When I spoke to him on the phone he said he has all the free clay he needs and he owns his own equipment. I'll post more when I know more.

Where is this track for the April Race? I am there as long as its not the 12th!

   The race date is April 19th in Auburndale next to the Auburndale Speedway stock car track. I will create a new post with all the details including directions.
