well i've been having atv troubles with the electric start. i do go to the starter correct? well i took it apart and i can't figure out how to unbolt it, either does my dad. Some people have already told me its the selinoid *spellcheck please* It just "clicks" when you try to use the electric start. so if anybody is pretty sure what it is let me know please and where i can buy replacement parts.

thanks

To replace the starter, it a pretty good job. This is the only way we could get to them bolts. We just did one for the first time and we took off the breather box, then you need to take off the belt cover, then the rear pulley which is one bolt. Then the bolt that hold the back plastic behind it, I think there are four of them. The problem is that the bolts back up against that plastic plate so after you get the back bolts off, you can pull it off just enough to get the bolts out. Kinda a bad Polaris Idea. I was told that you could go from underneath but there is no way to get to the bolts from the bottom, and they still will touch the back plate if you could.

Did you try jumping it from another quad direct. Hook one end to the positive on the starter and then touch the ground to your quad. See if that works.
