I read on highlifter that you can bypass the solenoid on a winch set up??  Is this true?  I don't understand how it would work...which wires would run to the battery? the yellow and the blue one off the winch itself?  If so, how would you tap teh switch into the circuit so that the winch isn't always running?

My solenoid is mounted in a really crappy location and i keep ripping wires off so i need to figure out a better place to mount it or a way to bypass it all together.

any ideas???  pics or diagrams sure could help Smiley

Thanks!

I own a 04 450 foreman, has a little storage box in the back also. It looks like that's where I am going to have to put it. The wires from the winch reach that far easy. I'm just going to need to put them in a pellican box or something to keep them dry, but that's about the only good place I have.
BTW that storage area get flooded once in a while, so that's why I'll need a box of some type.

You have to have the contact switch.
