go to floridatrailriders.org that is the only sanctioner in florida for xc racing get a membership with them then go to one of the quadscrambles or harescrambles your pipe cannot be louder than 96 dbs you must have a killswitch and protective gear is recommended helmet is mandatoryl.

also, prepare to have a blast and get hooked. Also, be sure to get rid of any significant other you might have, you will start pouring all of your money into racing and they wont like that, so who needs em'!!! haha

Because if you lived near me , you could come practice with us sometime to get an idea what its like.

Most races you dont have to be AMA. I think only one race this year so far.
March 29th is the next quadscramble, you NEED to be there.

the only one you need to be an active AMA member this year is the "Haw Creek Harescrambles" which is April 26&27.

gas depends on your class im in c-open and uasally have a little left sometimes run out right after(i know its cool lol)  but since your a first timer( not raggin on you, im happy someone new is coming!!!) you should have plenty o' gas left. just bring tools food water sun tan lotion. its not like nascar were we have pit teams run up jack us in the air change the tires and push us off uasally dont have to stop.
