looking to bring some life to my 400ex thinkin bout JE 416 kit and stage 2 cam...i all I have now is big gun full exhaust K&N no air box cover and dyno jet kit and input would be great ive seen alot of project 400's out there thanks randy

bigger valves and have the head ported by someone who knows what there doing,not joe blow shadetree mechanic.You can make it run worse if you just hog it out with a dremel.

Hey Randy. Talk to Jeff the guy I told you about that will fix the works shocks. He also builds motors. His shop name is X-Treme. He dosnt do the machine work himself he sends it off to Trinity. Takes a little longer but thats my sugestion here local.   Not sure about Trinity but maybe someone else will have a sugestion.

take it to Atp  have mike do his 416 kit on it  from what i see the 416 is a crazy  insane bike if i could of gone back i probly would do the 416 insteadof the 440.

The 416 is a good choice as well as ATP. With the right combination of parts it can be made to run with just about anything out there.  Wink I do think I might would go to a 426 if I had it to do again though.  Grin
