Looking for a ford dealer near central Florida. I need warranty work done and have already been screwed by the dealers around this area. Any help appreciated. How hard could it be to fix the EGR and turbo problems?

Thanks,  Dale

I am still having the egr problems. This is the third time. Iam thinking the turbo seals are blown and it feels like the front end won't unlock. I haven't used 4x4 in two months atleast. Alan Jay Ford here in Sebring did the work. Ialso had to finish putting together the air intake. So that has been sucking unfiltered air for about two weeks. Ifeel like going up there and smashing heads!!!

No not with engines. Only brakes and suspension. The last time I worked as a mechanic was over ten years ago and I hated it.

Same thing here. Greasy hand prints everywhere. I worked in nastiest filthiest garage in town and did not do that kind of crap to customers. vehicles. I am a little worked up now and I'm headed up there now to get my deductable back.

Walker Ford in Clearwater is where I bought my truck and had it serviced.  I had a rattle that could not be found that was driving me crazy.  They had it a week before they found it, they ended up having to take the cab off and found where a weld had broke underneath it.  I have also had other work done by them and cannot say anything bad about this dealer.

Thanks for all the kind words......AAAH yes the wonderful EGR carboning up....Brother If a Ford Dealer has touched the truck within 90days I highly suggest returning to that dealer and have a meeting with the Service Manager about the reoccurring issue. If you go to another dealer they will referre you back to the dealer that just touch the truck...Especially if you have any out of pocket expenses. Other wise traveling clear up here may be more of an inconvenience than the actual repair... If all else fails and you can not get a positive response from the Service Dept. you are working with Call 1-800-392-3673  This is FORD customer Service. I have a few connection in that area I'll try and get some feedback for ya. BLUE let me know how that EGR block off works out for you.

My thought is you just can not put and EGR valve on a Diesel Engine and Expect it to work. This is coming from a guy who has workd on FORD diesel engine from the 6.9 idi on up through the 6.0 liter fiasco. Tese things will carbon and soot up sll of the time, the EGR comes on when the vehicle is at Cruising speeds which on an over the road type vehicle that would not be so bad, but for the daily driver it is awful. IF the Block off works I am all for it.

Blocking the EGR off will set a check engine light unless you use a SCT to alter the programming.  Say goodbye to warranty.

Instead of starting a new topic, has anyone ever dealt with Gator Ford?  Just wondering if they are a reliable dealership and how their service is.
