There is a place in scottsmoore off of I 95 exit 231. When you get off the on ramp go under the overpass and u will see where people park and ride. You cant miss it.

I just looked it up on MSN's maps and that place looks pretty big. Can you give a description of the terrain.  I see dirt and mud, but what about sugar sand or any elevations?

FYI......its not alot of fun on a 4x2. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if you do out there TAKE YOUR TRASH back home with you. We have enough people ruining our riding area! If people "other than locals" don't start taking your trash with you or help us "locals" doing some trash clean up it will be closed very soon. Being a Professional Firefighter-Paramedic I have several friends on the Brevard County Sherriff's office and the word is "clean it up or its going to be closed down permanently.......very soon......arrest made for tresspassing and they will be working together with the Volusia County SO to cover the Maytown road entrance"!

That would be awsome and I thank you VERY much for helping out! Its a great riding area and we ALL need to do our part to help keep it open. If every one that rides there would just take one or two bags of trash everytime they ride there and NOT deposit more tash on the ground we won't have problems with Law Enforcement. There is a BP gas station on the east side of I-95 with a trash dumpster I'm sure you can drop the trash in there. Thank you again!

i just went ridin today. i also live in deland. theres some good mud in the woods back between sr 472 and orange camp in deland, theres some on the orange city side of 472, but its not as good as the deland side. and back behind tg lee is goooood mud for the big trucks to play in ive heard, but havent been back there yet. not sure if its illegal since its in deland, but i know anywhere in orange city is ticket and they take your ride on the spot. too many oc cops getting killed out in the woods. but if that doesnt bother you, behind the home depot and walmart is a place called duck lake. as you pull into home depot youll be pulling in along a little road that runs next to the parking lot. at the end of that EXACTLY next to the garden center (they usually park the tractor trailor rigs there) there is a path running back. take that trail, if you want you can get a truck back there) follow it all the way back. it opens up to a big lake with some decent mud around. ive heard all in the middle makes the perfect mudbog, but ive never driven into the middle.

im always up for a ride and have another guy i go playin in the mud with in deland if your lookin for someone to go riding with.

and another spot up in ormond beach is right off i believe I95. its call catfish. take 92 up to lpga, hop on I95 to the granada exit (its the next exit after you get on), turn left onto granada, should be 2 lights down, tymber run road make a right, keep going down 2 lights, over the overpass first turn on the left, immediate left after that and follow the road. itll be a twisty road, but the part of the road that runs exactly parallel with I95 you can park anywhere along there and go ride. its a great place with a ton of trails, lakes, mud and anything else you want. its dusty, so take some goggles.

and i just looked at your profile OP, have you taken your kfx running along the powerlines in daytona park estates off of 44 in all the sugarsand (next to the howard johnson)? if so, i may have ran into you out there one day. i have a black kawasaki brute force

Dude we ride out behind the Lake Helen DBCC campus. There are alot of trails and some good mud. Also head out to Maytown Road by I-95. It's easy to find there will be trucks with trailers all along the road. The back side of this spot is known as 5-A. Just remember there are alot of quads out there and alot of blind corners so be careful & have fun. Sixpack

theres alot of water thats maybe 1 foot deep most spots, but if you find a few of the holes the guys with trucks on 44s go through youll get some good 3 or 4 foot water. but if you keep following the trail it turns into deep sticky mud that i cant even play in because i dont have anyone to pull me out!! should be pretty good out there especially since it just rained and had alittle time to dry up a bit

if i would seen this sooner i would have rode out there and met yall, the entrance to all those trails and mud grounds is about a quarter mile away from my house. but yall are prob gone by now.

and me and one of my friends are goin playin in the mud out between orange camp and 472 tomorrow. prob be out there from about 10 till 1, and be back out there again from 3 till dark if anyone wants to come

I was there on Sunday for the first time, parked on "Stuckey Road", there was a ton of people and lots of No Tresspass signs but no one pays them no mind. I'll be heading out there this weekend again it was a good time.

Yep, BUT be warned.....the Brevard County SO and FHP do "drop in" from time to time.......expect a ticket if they do.

can we still park and ride from the i-95 exit without any problems or do we have to worry about tickets there?

If they happen to drop in and they do fom time to time be ready for a ticket if your parked at 5A and have a ATV. A "house cleaning" is comming soon.......I'll try to warn when I get the word from my friends on the SO. A"house cleaning" is the Brevard and Volusia County SO are planning to block BOTH ends of 5A on several weekends and run the helocopters......soon. They are tired of the property owners complaints about trash, stolen vehicles and worried about liability issues.
