I just had my 450R re jetted, added a new pipe, and had the hop up kit installed as well as the front gear knocked down a tooth.

GPS top speed 79.3 out at Ocala on a straight run

The power band is much smoother now, it's not as torquey down law which makes for smooth transitions out of the turns.

Does anyone have a legitimate speed reading on the Yamaha?

Just curious.

79mph and you dropped a tooth on the front sprocket? You must have 26in. tall tires on it.

20 inch tires with spinners..X-hibit pimped my quad.

That mph reading was taken with the original sprocket in the front.

Also note, that was in Ocala on those rolling hill roads opposed to a flat surface...and it's a max speed on a GPS.

It has since been lowered to 13 in the front. If you didn't pound the throttle out of the turns she wants to
stall out with the 14 tooth in there.

Sorry about the misprint.

Peace out

I'm always up for piloting!!! lol, too bad im probaly gonna have a bike in that class.  BTW, for those of you with 450s in Valdosta, what times were you running?  Someone came down with one today, it had a GYT-R exhaust and was jetted, and I ran a 5.59 on it.  Is that good?

my best time on my 450 is 5:19 in hazlehurst. mostly 5:20's and 5:30's

last time i checked adding aftermarket parts does not change your top speed unless 1) it changes the rev limit 2) you change the sprockets......

bottom line is who cares what the top speed is, it is how fast you can get there.....
