Seems about every time i put the thing in gear it stalls. Even after its warmed up. Just turned over 100 miles. Is there a fix other then taking it to the shop?

This might sound dumb, but my son had a problem like that, had the choke on all the way.

I hope its not the pilot jet with only 100 miles.

The idle probably need sto be turned up a bit. If that does not correct it then take it to the dealer, should be under warranty.

I am assuming the bike is stock.

I assume this has electric shift. Does it seem to stall if you rev it? It may be related to something electric when you shift, like an inhibitor switch.

Im going with the idle, bump it up a couple hundred rpm. Not too much and see if it still happens. If so, off to the dealer you go...

The dealer wants to charge me $150 for the 100 mile check up. I asked him if its stalling is that not a warranty issue? I think that 100 mile check up is a money maker.

You should feel blessed, the local dealerships up here want $225-260. The shop where I bought my bike wants $180. You can cange all of the fluids youself for under $35 (using Honda products).

I did it, it only took about 20 minutes, including changing the sparkplug, front and rear diffs. That is all they are going to do any way. You adjust the valves at 100hrs, you may want to have them do that.

Stalling better be a warranty issue. Otherwise send the lemon back to Honda.

Did you try turning the idle up a bit? Or is it something else?

Well. I think.........I hope ...its just an idle issue. Other then the stalling deal, its been a great 100 miles. But i do have to say i bought my Polaris sportsman back in 2003 and i have never had it back to the shop since.   My buddy has the very first atv 4x4 honda ever came out with. Not sure what the name is but its old. He has never had it in the shop since he's had it .

I would think this is a dealer issue if raising the idle doesn't help. Have you beat the living sh*t out it in the first 100 miles?
