2007 outlander 500

Started last night out of the blue,  about 300 miles 35-40 hours.

Can not shift F or R or L to H.  Runs fine except it will not sit still either...it just keeps creeping forward or reverse.  Shifts fine with engine off and starts in the gear selected....any ideas?

adjust your idler to lower rapm's maybe that will fix the sitting still problem
