if you decide on the big gun race series buy riding boots because it does not come with a heat sheild.

my friend got Big Gun exhaust for his raptor, I dont really like it.  I was leaning more toward the LRD Pro4 exhaust.  It gives the raptor a 24.5 horsepower increase at 8000 rpms.  If you dont believe, like my friends didnt believe me when i told them, check out their web site at http://www.lrdperformance.com/

Also, TurboBanshee_kid, I was looking at what you have on your banshee, I didnt know that they made headers for two strokes.  Whats with that?

First of all, headers are for four strokes and dont change in diameter, pipes are for two strokes and change alot in diameter, so yes, there is a BIG differnce.  I wasnt getting smart with you but what are you gonna burn me with

justin first of all ur crazy!!!! i definently told u about the 24 HP increase that the full LRD exhaust system and powerpack gives you, also u will be burned by a banshee with T-5 pipes ans reeds and a shaved head... not to bad but by about 15 lenths, look at dyno results, they are crazy for the Toomey pipes at the website www.toomey.com, also headers do change in diameter look at the FMF powerbomb headers for example. ur crazy justin the toomey pipes push just over 54 horse on a banshee (just pipes) i wish my blaster could do that!!!!!!!! too bad they don't give you stock HP #'s in the owners manual   oh yeah i bet Mikey with his Big Gun will still whup u ^ in a race

I'd stay away from them just because of the "tricky" advertising.  They say 24 HP gain over stock at 8000 rpm (stock curve drops much faster) which may be true but their Dyno doesn't show that rpm range, just the trend down.  I would assume the stock is much lower at 8000 than any aftermarket pipe, and their peak HP is consistant with other pipes.

We dyno'd 5 pipes:

Yoshi
LRD
White bro
FMF
HMF

The FMF put out the most increase in HP. So I went with the FMF and the bike is doing 83.6, jetted.

Actually, a friend of mine worked at Palmetto motorsports. He bought a Raptor when he worked there and they needed a bike to dyno and test. So he donated his bike and they began. They did the test and found that the FMF put out the most Horse Power. I put it on my Raptor and it ran 84MPH with jets and filter. Now, keep in mind that as soon as you go into the engine you may better off with other exhaust, however jetted and with filters, the FMF was best.

there is no way a pipe will give you 24hp....maybe with some motor mods that pipe will help get you to a 24hp gain......but i am not gonna argue....if you believe than good for you....but in my opinon the best pipes is ct and sparks for the raptor

Maybe if you throw in a cam and a high-comp piston with the pipe.

Well i figure since raptor426 is so thick that he gets ripped on by ds650s all day when we race. do to the fact that hes ridden a scrambler his whole life. but theres nothing wrong w/ scramblers, I wouldnt doubt if they could beat a stock raptor with just a pipe and a good tunning.
