another problem with polaris 50cc

I got a big bore kit for my sons 50cc predator, for some reason I cant seem to get the jug to fit over the piston, it is so tight going on that i cracked one of the rings, this is the first time I have ever done this, it seemed easy enough when I took it a part. I got the piston on the crank just fine, what am I doing wrong? please help

they make a tool that you clamp around the piston & it keeps the ring in tight so you can get it in the cylinder. kinda looks like a thin band of metal.

you should be able to put it in by hand! if you have to force it so hard you break a ring its to tight!
and if you do manage to get it in there it will seize right away!  you need to take it somewhere and have the piston/cylinder clearance checked!

Isnt that a 2 stroke?? did you have the rings in the correct spot and not sitting on top of the aligning pins?? my fool freind killed a new set of rings and wedged his piston in his baster trying to make it fit and the rings went in the correct spot on his piston

my big pred is a 4-stroke so i think hats a 4
