So I fianlly had time to start messin with the kodiak for the first time in months ..  Well I though somoene said to put a test lite to the wires of the stator .. Well I did put a test lite to the stator and a I think 2 of 5 wires made the light lite up ..  while turning the engine over .. so I'am under the assumption that my stator is good and my CDI is bad ..

Can anyone confirm this ?

Thanks
Ed

You need to use a ohm meter. You need to check the ohm reading between the red/white wires and the green/brown wires. I you get a null reading on either of these two tests your stator is bad. The white wires that are in their own plug are for the lighting coil
