Not exactly.  He sold me a diesel programmer through a post on this site.  He said the truck it was on was set back to stock setting (I can't use it if it's already programmed another truck), and it wasn't.  So basically I'm out $200 until he either gives me my money  back or sets the truck it came off of back to stock.  He won't return the messages I've sent him, and I know he's been online, so I guess it's time to call him out.

as stated in my previous post, a member of this site, bottle baby, sold me a programmer.  He said the truck it came from was returned back to stock.   Angry

See this post:  http://www.atvflorida.com/forum/index.php/topic,28730.0.html

Does anyone on the site know bottle baby or how to get in touch with him

Once you use a programmer it is VIN locked. It cannot be used as anything but a code reader on any other truck. Call the company & tell them a story & see if they can help out.

not according to the instructions with this programmer.  It specifically says it can be moved from vehicle to vehicle, so long as the original vehicle is returned to stock.

I reread his original posts when Selling this Programmer and he was sure he Unlocked it , mentioned it several times. Obviously he did not unlock it before getting rid of the Truck it was programmed on. From an outsiders perspective he knew it was Junk...and sold it anyway ...Unless he takes his man pill and Makes this right..you may be stuck.....The Manufacturer can not help you here

So next  time you guys complain because the Maytag man or Ida Man harass these people that come here JUST to sell crap THIS IS WHY.

All the guys posts are selling stuff. Looks like you may be hosed. You may need to pack a Louiseville Slugger in your truck, head to Vero Beach, and deal with this old school Evel Knevel style!!

It has been brought up several times to regulate the for sale section on this site. So that you must have X amount of posts to be able to post in it. This is a perfect example as to why.   Lecture

How did you pay for the programmer? If you have any kind of proof of purchase, you can take him to small claims court.

But if the truck it was programmed on had the stock tune put back in it then the programmer is then unlocked and can be used on another truck. Generally speaking the tuning companies will unlock it they will make you buy a new one otherwise someone out there gets a free tune essentially.

Since the seller only posts in the sales section, I would move this thread over there where he will definately see it. Also, by having it in the sale section other potential buyers will read the thread and know to stay away from him.
