This woman is wheelchair bound from an atv accident and is losing her home.

http://cbs4.com/consumer/Jennifer.Chapman.bankruptcy.2.598998.html

I know this site has gone out and helped members when they were hit with problems. I don't know this woman, but saw it on the news this morning and felt compelled to make this site aware. I don't know the first thing about how to get the ball rolling, but I would like to see if we can get her some cashin a paypal account or something. She has kids too. If anybody can help me to set up something, great. PM me or respond here. I will be gone most of today, but would like to get something going.

Thanks

I'm in. I have a paypal account we can use. If there isn't anyone that lives closer to her I would be glad to hand deliver the money. I don't think you can set up a Paypal account for someone else. I just e-mailed the reporter that wrote the story to try to find out how to get in touch with Jennifer. Hopefully she already has a Paypal account.

OK, I have been gone all weekend, so I haven't been able to follow up on Jennifer's story. But since I posted, only 3 responses? and 140 looks? I will try to set something up, but I could use some help too. I see Jennifer has also signed up to ATVFLORIDA as well. Let's show her what kind of group this is!!

I agree with Budman. In the past we have raised money for injured members. Everyone just needs to give a little to make a BIG difference. It's the time of year to look around at how good you have it compared to a lot of other people. I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but I like to help the less fortunate around the holidays.

If anyone wants to help Jennifer and her 2 children have a good holiday this year I have her home address.  PM me and I will give it to you. Just think of all the money you waste during the week. A little from everyone will go a long way. I have been e-mailing back and forth with her. I hope she doesn't mind but here is one of them.

Hey Frank,
My name is Jennifer Chapman. I just turned 36,divorced for one year and have 2 children, a 5 year old redheaded boy and a 11 year old pre-teen great girl. We too are animal lovers. I had 5 cats and we have gone down to 2 now.I was injured at Holy Lands, in Plam Beach county. I was with my boyfriend at the time, who is a firefighter, his 2 girls and my 11 year old. We had riden for most of the day and as we were wrapping up to leave his 6 year old daughter wanted to ride real quick with me. So she got on in front of me and we were going up a steep hill she pushed the go button and the bike jumped and tipped me on my back and my head landed on a rock bolder. I was immediately knocked out with an immense amount of blood around my head. The 6 year old fell on top of me, her dad grabbed her as the bike was  in the mist in the air to fall on my left side. It took 3 stranger men to take the bike off of me. I was then helicoptered to Delray medical center unconscious and fighting for my life. I had split my head open on my left side and had to get 39 stitches. Also had a front lobal concuscion and didn'tt remember any of the accident.
I was let out before 24 hours from ICU to the man I got in an accident with because the hospital didn't contact my mom or dad or even my husband at the time. I now have severe nerve damage on my left hip that triggers from the left side of the brain, and I cannot move my left leg at all. It is now spreading to my right leg and I am in a wheelchair for life told I am going to be a parapalegic due to extensive nerve damage.
I found this sight because I was on cbs news about my house being in foreclosure because I have been in and out of the hospital since April and have been in full correspondence with them for them to send back my payment and send me over to foreclosure. The man I spoke to at channel 4 told me some people had replied to my story and if I would be interested in accepting help. And like you say it's the holidays and my kids have had a very traumatic year, as well as myself, and the thought of loosing my home, I can't sleep at night.
I need anything offered. I am in financial state with living on savings that is dwindiling away very quick. I have no income coming in, have been denied disability 2 times and do not get child support from the ex, so anything would be great. Thank you so very much for your concern and sympathy. I have a long road ahead of me but my kds are my life  and I won't give up just for them.
The more that hear my story the better, and all I have to say to all the atv riders is please be safe and wear a helmet or you could be in a totally different lifestyle such that I am. I am greatful for surviving such a terrible accident.
Thank you for your time and listening.  I greatly appreciate people like you.

Come on people step up and help out. You will be amazed how good it makes you feel.

I am willing to pitch in a little. Being in the Mortgage industry my financial situation is much like hers but if someone is spearheading a paypal donation then I will contribute something.

TRX, do you want to use your paypal and deliver the monies to her. I can't do alot but I know every little bit will help. Come on Atvers, lets give someone a great Christmas. Even $5 is better then just sitting around doing nothing.

I'm on the injured list too, but not even half as bad as she is. I would love to help if I had it. I also have two kids. My wife is working 5 -12 hour shifts to keep us alive.
I know some of you are more fortunate. I would beg someone to help her, I know how bad it is to wonder where your family will be in the future.
And as for the Father of the kids- if he's not helping, you can go to the state for assisted living and they will force him to a paternity test and he will get child support payments as well as back child support.
My prayers go to her and her family to get some relief!!
