I just got back from my Can-Am dealer where I went to see about a warranty claim. My speedo is fogging up again after having that same dealer put in an anti-fogging kit 2 months ago. My quad came with the extended coverage which expires 2/25/10.  The service writer said that the speedo’s are not covered. What the hell good is the BEST coverage for. After riding a couple of hours I can’t see thru the friggin moisture  to read any #’s on the speedo gauge while riding.
Is this dealer just crazy or what?Huh?

I wouldn't drill the hole in the plastic just yet. If the speedo stopped working, would your warranty cover it?

Warranties are a waste of money. They always try to find a way not to cover it. I would tell them they suck and get the money back for what is left on the warranty.

I've only and always have gotten the extended warranties on my BRP jetski's and  this Outlander. Maybe it's time to change brands?HuhHuh! and from a different dealer. Some dealers just don't care if you come back to buy from them I guess.

You could try calling another dealer and asking them about it.  We've always gotten the BEST warranties and they usually end up saving us cash.  Sure, warranty doesn't cover things we break, but it does cover most major parts.  I'd think it should cover your problem too.  Unless you've modified the console, that sure looks like a defect to me.

TJ, I'll buy it from you for KBB trade-in value. You can get a Poolaris or Brittle Force or that Grizzly with power steering. That way, either Logan or I can tow your arse back when they overheat. If the display is fogging, good thing Logan didn't get the one with the built-in GPS!
