ok i am 18 years old i live in salt springs florida. i am a big hunter. but do to a back injury am not able to walk the trails like i could last year.

heres a map of where i am.

i know i can ride to the north of me as long as i am across 316.

but my hunt area is to the south/south west of me. seeing that i cant walk (for anything over a few 100 yards  i was wanting to use my quad.

i have seen many hunters off loading there quads on the side of 314/88/and 40 and riding off into the woods i have not heard of anyone being fined or anything.

all small game (rabbits/squirrels etc etc  is open season year round correct? there for i can hunt for small game ytear round in the onf  as long as i have a vest a valid license and no more than a 5 shot clip?

It is hard to tell if you are in phase I or phase II.  check the map:

http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/ocala_alt3.pdf

You can still ride in phase II until the new trail system for that phase is in effect, then you will only be able to ride on designated trails.  The ares that you mentioned on 314 and 40 are probably in phase II.  I can't help you on hunting regulations.
