lets be careful there tecate mike . we encourage the idea of more riders as long as they understand that this is a event that requires skill and a level head . a loose cannon on the track can and has proven to be a hazard to themselves as well as to fellow racers. competion is an incredable rush but hospitalization is a bummer . we all want to drive home after the race ,not be driven somewhere else by somebody else.now that i have said that ,lets get to the track ,drop the flag and turn left to the fourth power. You can't buy skill and you can't replace it.

I don't want to send out the wrong message so let me say first there is no rush like circle track on these quads. I have watched two different guys hit the wall and get carried off the track and one that broke his collar bone entering the pits at thunder cross. I personally hit the wall coming out of turn 2  a month ago. I tumbled down the straightaway at 45 mph in practice. ive seen guys spin out and get hit head on and ive been hit head on.ive won races that i shouldn't have and ive lost races i should have won. I would not trade my flat track bike for a full mx sponsored  ride. It takes a speacial breed to enjoy this sport and we have some really clean tight racing at our track and i thank all involved. P.S. catch me if you can I'll be racing my a$$ of on the 27th! Tongue Wink Grin

tecatemike ,you may have misunderstood or i may have said it wrong, all i am concerned about is safe ,fun ,competative racing, in the past we have had a few riders over ride their ability the first night out trying to show their friends that they are better than the others, but wind up kissing concrete. we want more riders,we need more riders, but we dont want to end up being uninvited as in the past at a previous track do to accidents and injuries such as one of my own upside down still on the seat inturn 2 flying through the air. lets ride smart safe and then wide open

I respect all the vet's that race a HCS. This will be my second season or call it my 12th race. To here that comming from my fellow riders such as #17 , #9, and 2fast just earn's even more respect.  [smiley=Clap.gif]  When you beat those guy's it feals great because ther some of the best quad racer's you'll ever race against. It took me 1 time racing out there and I was hooked and 2fast is right when he said would'nt trade it for nothing.Great post's by all. Can't weight till 3/27/04!!!  [smiley=ThumbsUp.gif]

i dont think it would be a bad idea to throw some pictures and maybe a short video on the site.It would show what we're all about at HCS,even if it did attract more riders to the track.Someone at the track always techs the bike and the rider before each race to decide whether or not they can race.Remember a rookie is a rookie because he does not know how to race.they can only get better with laps, and if that does not prove to be the case then they should be shoved off the track.  [smiley=Approve.gif]

right i mean im a rookie and i dont plan on trying to be competative with front runners until i get the hang of it all and some time in if i come in dead last it wont bother me a bit ill get there   i know wh at you guys are saying though not all people think like i do some guys are gonna go out there and try and take first place the first time they ride
but if we can get enough riders you could have classes no?
