I was looking into them, and they seem to have decent prices.  I was just wondering if someone could give me feedback on their experience with them.  Saw a couple of trucks I liked on their website and was thinking of going to take a look at some.  Don't want to make a trip for nothing, ya know?

thats first class truck buying. we bought our F250 there. great people. great trucks. great service. it took longer than id liked but it went smoothly. i think the reason it was so long is because they were calling around to see if someone was interrested in our trade in as it wasnt a truck. and the best part, theres a Sonnys close by. across the street and down a lil. there was a list of stuff they do to all their trucks when they get em too. they replaced tons of stuff on ours like normal wear parts so that it was surley in good shape. i cant remember the guys we dealt with but they were awesome. ill look in the glove box and see if they left something in there with their names on it. if i were lookin for a truck, id go there first.

I can't knock Gibson, have heard nothing but good, however If you know what you want you will be better going to Scott @ Heartland Motors. He will get exactly what you want and is a really great guy.

I'm positive I want a diesel, either a powerstroke or cummins.  No duramaxs lol.

I emailed Gibson about a truck on Friday, no response yet.  Its the third truck down under their 'Monster truck' page(1).  04 F250 XLT Quadcab.  I doubt they still have it though.

Out of anything I want a powerstroke 7.3 CrewCab w/ leather and in near perfect condition. Don't really care for color scheme or if its lifted.

how far do you live from there? there is 3 good truck places out there close together. nations, gibson, and i forget the other one. gibson is by far the nicest place though. all have sweet trucks though. just go out there and look around. id sa gibson has at least 40-50 F250 and up trucks.

Gibson has good prices but they will screw you around. We've been there 3 times to buy a truck and each time on the phone they say they can def make a great deal for us. So we load up the kids drive 2 hrs to get there and they BS us around. We told them the payment we could afford and they told us a REALLY low price on our Paid off f250. I'd get with Scott we've heard nothing but good about him and he has some Bad Arse trucks on his lot.

Gibsons, Nations and Truck Heaven are the 3 I can think of. Truck Heaven has some bad ones too.

I would say about 2hrs.  If they can get me a good price then its worth it. Still haven't received an email back on the truck I asked about though.

First negative feedback I've heard lol.  I always hear good things about Scott, I just saw a truck I liked on Gibsons website.  Even it being a XLT Quadcab, a 2004 model will probably be a good amount of money thats why I emailed them first.  If I don't get an email back then I will probably talk to Scott, he seems to be the man with the nice 7.3s Wink

I bought at gibson F250 4x4 powerstroke and it was all nice on the phone ,drove up from miami and took al day and wish I'd left with nothing cause later found out the truck was in a big wreck before but was fixed great but it had a whole replaced front clip and driver side door and they didn't say crap about it when I called them they said I should of bought the carfax but the salesman knew and said nothing. when I asked he said I dont know but if you buy the carfax you would find out more. I regret not buying it but I will NEVER deal there again. My .02 on them

Like kari said we've been to gibson three times and I have walked through there service shop where they work on the vehicles and out back at the detail booth.look close at your truck before you buy them .I have seen a bunch of trucks in the shop that have been wrecked and they rebuild them right there.and the detail booth, well lets just say the truck I went to look at wasn't on the yard when I got there so we walked around looking for it and the detail guy had painted the front fender and door for some reason.I dont want anything they have.My next truck i will drive to sebring and talk to scott.I ride by his lot 2 or 3 times a week while at work and he always has nice trucks and jeeps for sell. And as soon as I pay my diesel off next year me and kari will be buying her next ride from him.

I live 10 mins from Gibson. Gibson and Nations are KNOWN for selling crap trucks. They get A LOT of trucks from Texas that have been ran on the farm hard. They take out a 5th Wheel Hitch or a Goose Neck ball and plop a cheap drop in bed liner over to cover up all the holes. That is the most notorious prank of them. They also repair a lot of wrecked trucks or buy and sell em. Steer clear of them.

I had heard similar things about them. A high mileage truck was supposedly a daily driver with highway miles but on the side of the frame you could see the bolt holes from where the 5th wheel mount was original installed. On the other hand I do know someone that bought a truck there and never had any problems. I guess if you are going to deal with them you better take the time to really inspect the vehicle.

I always noticed their trucks had really high miles. Funny how every truck on a lot that has high miles are just "daily driver highway miles" Roll Eyes

Personally I would never buy a truck from a dealership like theirs. They run a lot of ads & prices "seem" decent, but they say sometimes things are just 2 good to be true.
They havent emailed you back by now, that would pizz me off enough not to go there at all. Dont rush to buy a truck, the right one will come.
I will also say, when I was looking, Scott was super helpful & went out of his way to find me one. I appreciate it even though I didnt buy from him he will always be on my shortlist in the future.

I have talked to several folks at Gibson and can never get a good feeling for what they offer. My wife and I are in the market for a 2002-2003 Excursion 7.3 diesel 4X4. They had a few that were rather pricey and after doing the carfax reports and checking the VIN numbers through FORD I learned at least 2 of them were lemon law buy back's...I am very sceptical of their products.

I drove from St.Pete to Scott's place to try and sell my truck. He let me put it there for sale, so you know he has some nice trucks. He doesn't allow any junk on his lot!!
He has an outstanding reputation on here...why? It's not because of his unusual SN!!LOL
