OK one last time, those TBR 450r's are not I repeat not bored. I don't know if they can always beat a 380 or YFZ's. I know they are both running very good and Sunday we will see. one more thing is that both of these boys are not that bad of riders either. Lyndon has jumped from one quad to another and still done well. Brandon has NO FEAR at all, that always makes him someone to deal with.

hey, Im not saying they are bored! I just know they are fast! Does it really matter anyway? Its mostly rider after its all said and done.
Dale,
If theyre talking about you then your doing something right! Thats all i got to say!  I know when I was on my R when its was only about a 285 and beating everyone (including Hugh's 380) everyone thought there was more done to it as well! I say "lets race".  And ya best bring it cause Im feeling real

It will be just a single green light unless they see when the button is pushed they wont be able to jump the starter will have control of the light so he should be able to see the jump.

The light sounds like a good idea to me, we'll see how it works. There is always a lot of trash talking in racing but I think there are a few cry babies in this post. I agree there shold be limits on each class and it is going to be hard to please everyone. I have a hard enough time tring to keep up in the OB class with the raptor but if need be I will move up. There are quite a few of us in the OB class that need to move up. In order to go faster you have to ride with people that are faster than yourself. When you get to that point then you need to be honest with yourself and move up in class instead of just taking home the trophy. I am game for what ever Sandmountain decides. I will race in any class. It does not matter what place you finish as long as you know that you gave it 150%. Thats my 2cents. Cya SUNDAY.

Just thinking out loud, but promoting riders once a series has started might be a little unfair. To me Lyndon is a perfect example. He had only ridden a 450 2 or 3 hrs at most when he started racing the second race of the season. It takes him almost the entire season to capture the point lead. Should he have been moved up? And if so when? Setting up rules for this to me is almost impossible. To move someone up during a series means you are taking something they worked hard for away from them. Any other thoughts on this???

While I am on the subject, what about next year?? Should Lyndon run both open am and open expert. If not should vets be allowed to also run in open classes?? Can youth run in youth and open?? I can tell you this Lyndon wants to run in both, not because he thinks he can win either one but because he LOVES TO RACE. Any thoughts on this???

I don't really have any ideas for next series but, Lyndon and I both love to race. I would not like the idea of us going down there to race for 8 minutes each. There wouldn't be much fun in that to us, losing or winning. Lyndon did do an excellent job this year for starting out as a true beginner on a 450r. He did that over half the series on a hrc cammed bike, no pipe or air filter. So I dont think someone who does it like that should be moved up a class in the middle of the series. But I like to be able to race 2 classes. We could keep the expert class and call the other one the no whining class

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i   am just trying to  point out a couple things sm could do to bring more racer's  in .I dont got alot of say since i wont make many races at sm next season  but i would like to see the mx track and the tt track  be  the best around.I do agree with TBR  moving someone up in the middle of the season is bs i remember a few months back  i was sandbaggin and i needed to move up lol i started the series  as sm my very first race ever on a bone stock kfx400  so i ran the series out in that class.if you moved up  everytime you or someone started winning it would be no fun realy i mean winning a series or having a win streak is a awesome feeling and if you moved  up everytime it would suck..

dont know just my opinion
not that it as important as some people's on here Roll Eyes

Everone needs to understand nothing is in concrete that is why we are all here talking about this everything I here from you guys will go to Dale we have a few months before we start the next set of points races. So keep with the input the rules we have now for next season are in pencil it will work out. Not everyone will be happy but we will listen.

Lets add a money race instead of paying in the expert class. That way whoever is racing in that class knows there are going to be fast bikes in it.

My suggestions are not to kick anyone out of any classes, just make enuff classes for everyone..... Again, I realize that EVERYONE cant be made happy but there are lots of ways to do things...
In promoting someone to another class mid season,  they wouldnt start over, they would take a percentage of their points with them..... so as not to throw away their hard work...
Hell, it dont matter to me either, the 2 classes that I would run (Vet. + Expert) are gonna be the same anyhow... Just trying to think of the other riders who love Sand Mt. as much as I do.....
I dont believe in the whole tech. inspection thing  at all.... Are we racing for a world championship here or what???  If a factory ride were on the line then the Open class rules would have to be evaluated.... But its local bragging rights and most of all its supposed to be fun......  IF anything I think a check should be made for a functioning kill switch and that ones front and rear brakes work properly.... otherwise I think tearing down someones motor is kinda petty and dumb.....
I think the Thackers 450R hauls ass,  and I dont care what's done to it..... Unless I was to build a 450R for myself.... they did a great job with it........   Congrats to them...
    JT's "R" hauls ass,  Wes's "R" hauls ass......
THose bikes are fast... But what make them really fast is the guys whose ass is on the seat...
                Later
               Slow Vet. Joe
