im starting racing can you guys  post sum tips and what not to do and other stuff i would need to know  and every thing and what would i have to have i got a blaster and i want to got it redy for mx thanks

Once you and your quad have all the safety gear...

1)Practice at the track you plan to race. Memorize it.

2)Learn to hold your line(Don't swerve all over the
  track) Other racers depend on you for their safety
   too!

3)Figure out which jumps are which. Ones you can do
  and ones you can't/won't.

4)When you see the gate flinch even the slightest, GO!
  Let 'er RIP. You will not hit it Wink

5)There is a saying "You can only go as fast as you can stop"
  This is true to a certain extent. USE your brakes correctly.

6)When landing from a jump remember to have the gas ON.
  Unless the turn OR next jump is too close.

When learning how to go fast have a goal in mind at the track.
Just one, maybe two. Anymore than that and it is too much to
think about and you will prolly just forget what to do. Seriously.

If you want anymore tips just ask. Have fun most of all.

The only reasons you would pull in the clutch:

1) The frontend was high and you wanted to bring it
   down by hitting the rear brake. If you don't pull
   the clutch in you risk stalling the quad.  

2) To downshift becuase you lost too much speed in
   the air and knew it would lug in the gear you were
   in when you landed with the gas on.

I usually just downshift without the clutch but I have
heard that it is hard on the tranny.

This would be really considered kind of "Advanced" and
I don't know your skill level. So I don't know if this helps.
