I had 1 and they are really good cars I had 3 a 76, a 81 and an 86 SS they are pretty fast for a car of that wieght but they are good if it is well maintained. good luck and a lil thing I did it is small but to some ppl that know it is a standout I put a bottom spoiler of a 84 camaro with the lil vent in the middle the 2 are the same but need lil mod on the screw mounts mine was painted all metallic blue with t-tops and black interior w blue tubing on the seats very nice w/ blue neons under seats & dash and car (neons lights were starting to come out then) like I said nice cars and good but if you are looking for speed you will need to strip it down and mod it out cause they are heavy. for speed Grand Nationals in that style of cars

Nope the 1986 Monte Carlo SS came with a 305 engine code (G). It had a computer controlled Rochester 4bbl
