I think your question was which tranny was the best, the Allison is by far the best, you know most of these videos are meaningless. Think about the weight of the 2 trucks, what tires they are using, what the road conditions are, and the driver! Those 3 things are hardly ever consitant in these pull offs like in those video. I can take ANY truck with the right weight, right tire (or at least better than the other truck) and pull ANY other truck backwards!! Then low and behold.... MY TRUCK IS BETTER THAN YOURS LOL

Thank you.
LOL no problem, I haven't had the money to get a new diesel but I think when I do get one I am going to leave it BONE STOCK (except a lift and tires) instead of putting all these aftermarket performance parts on, I have seen so many problems with them. LOL then you get these guys with all these upgrades (my friend has a dodge 1100lbs torque) pull up to another manufactures stock truck and say it is a piece of junk because he can beat him in a race. I don't think it really means anything, but that is just me.

Get a Cummins!!!
I laugh at my brother and his 6.0L Ford because it has more miles on it from rolling in and out of the shop than it does on the road. It's the biggest pile of crap and it's rediculasly slow. I eat that thing up with my father's Cummins. Not even a race. Both are dually and 4 doors.
Ford does have the nices interior of them all though, I'll give them that. I feel like I'm in a big ass Mercedes.

Are you thinking new or used?
When I went looking for a Diesel, I too was debating Chevy or Dodge and sometimes Ford. I was a Chevy guy and the Allison tranny is the best IMO, so i wanted a Chevy but too much money (even used). Ford and the 6.0 International engine has a lot of injector problems and the tranny, I didn't know if they where good or bad. (my tranny guy says the new ones are great, btw) Plus I drove an International tow truck and it had injector probelms. Then came the Dodge Cummins, only 6 cylinders so if it had injector problems only 6 to deal with (I've never heard of injector problem on a cummins), also if there ever was a engine problem it doesn't have to come out, a cummins can be rebulit in the truck. Full front axle for the 4x4 was a plus too (Ford too). The tranny was the only down fall so I just decided to drive a "stock" truck until the tranny went bad then I'd rebuild it right (like a banks, ATS, etc). So I bought a 99 Dodge (100,000 miles) for $15,000 saved some money till one day a year later the tranny would not shift in to 1st, would only start from 2nd. So a sad day because the $3k would have to be spent, but what a good day because "let the fun begin!" Sorry for the long post, test drives are free (and fun sometimes) so drive them all and read the forums (google search) because all three have there problems. (if you want a dodge forum, let me know)
Good luck...
