I hear ya NYRaptor, maybe try for the Halloween event, it's family friendly, good people,
I understand  you gotta take care of business first (gotta pay to play).
Have fun on Fri., be safe, I might need to stop at OAS for somethin, who knows.

Looking at the website it looks pretty neat.  Whats the scoop on this place?  Is it county owned?  Acreage?

Private owned, open on weekends, $10.00 a day, owner has done a lot of work, & spent a lot of $$ to utilize as much of the proerty as possible & is still making improvements, 2 tracks, a pee wee track, hill climbs, ute. 4x4 course, mud drags, mud pits, fast 1 way trails,
shower,sh!tter, & water hose to wash mud off your bikes, the water that comes out of that hose is better water I get out of my faucet at home (Tampa tap water).
I been once for a weekend event & going again this weekend for another weekend event, next one will be a Halloween weekend event.
(once a month theres a weekend event that you can camp there for the weekend) all other weekends are for day use only for now.

check out www.floridaatvmotoplex.com for more details.

Mapquest does not recognize the street it is on (it's out in the sticks). Easy to find on a map though, it is 5 miles south of exit 258 on I-10 in Madison County.

Exact directions here:

http://www.floridaatv.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=46&topic=3584.msg57569#msg57569

KB, got it right, there is also lot of info about the Motoplex here along with some updated pictures:

From Tampa I take 75 to I-10 west to the Hwy 53(Madison) exit, which is your 5th exit from 75.
Go south on 53 about 5 miles & the sign wiil be on your righ.
If your pulling a hauler or a camper there is another way into his property because the main entrance has a 90* turn, everbody made it OK, but I think theres another trail in that is more strait.
Try goggle map, I use to use mapquest, but I like googles map better.

I actually bulldozed (did I just admit to that  Shocked) that guys tree that was making the turn difficult, so now it's easier to just come down our private easment.

I went on the website to try and find some information but couldn't find much. I am located in orlando right off the 408. Anyone know this area generally? Can you post more info?

204 Acres. Part pine forest, part swamp.

Cater to Utes and Sport ATV's.

For sport ATV's we have a peewee track, and a beginner friendly mx track (designed and built for the most part by Dreth). We are contemplating putting in a larger more advanced track shortly. We have miles of general trails, but in addition also have a 7 mile and 2 mile one way fast loop trail system. They are tight, technical and a bunch of fun. We have a new loop that is under a mile, but is fun and it goes through the site of the proposed mx track.

For UTE's we have swamps, creeks, an AWESOME UTE Xtreme course, it's one mile long, starts on a canal and goes through a variety of elevation changes, swamps and ends up in our mud drag strips. We have 3 new mud pits, with water complete with islands and an elevated trail that connects/winds through them. We have a few lake/ponds, a 5 mile trail that goes around the border- this incorporates (subject to weather) many water crossings. We also have additional miles of 2 way trails.

The park is new, so it is still very much a work in progress. We have been concentrating on first developing the fun riding areas and have not built too much in the way of amenities yet. We do however have a small concession stand, clean port a johns, a small shower, etc. Camping is primitive.

I won't lie to you, 204 acres is not a lot of land to cram all this onto, it has taken a lot of thought and planning. We are not trying to compete with Ocala forest for example. They have hundreds of miles of trails etc., what we provide is the fun aspects that they are taking out. We are not just a mud pit neither though, our park has tons of different fun riding areas.

The park is open every weekend, but once a month we have a feature weekend. This month, it is coincidentally this coming weekend (28th-30th). Regular weekends, park is open 10am until dark, feature weekends, we open 10am Friday and stay open until dark on Sunday.

This coming weekend, we od not have many events planned, but we are having a BBQ Saturday evening, then splitting into 2 groups for an awesome night ride (a wet group 4x4's & a dry 2x4 group) that will meet again in the mud pit area to hang out and enjoy watching the 4x4's getting stuck.

We have a lot of pictures and comments here:
