As you may know, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was
his turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her
alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
because of an auto accident.

One of them
missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
time to change.

One's
car wouldn't start.

One went back to
answer the telephone

One had a
child that dawdled
and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.

One couldn't
get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man
who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took the various means to get to work
but before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am
stuck in traffic ,
miss an elevator,
all the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself,
this is exactly where

God wants me to be
at this very moment..

Next time your morning seems to be
going wrong ,

the children are slow getting dressed,
you can't seem to find the car keys,
you hit every traffic light,
don't get mad or frustrated; It
may be just that
God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you
with all those annoying little things
and may you remember their possible purpose.

It's not that they don't want to discuss religion, but why should we all have to defend something or SOMEONE bigger than us to people who are closed minded and don't seem to have anything worth believing in.

God Bless all those who do believe and those who don't.

God fearing people are more open minded b/c we know how to forgive. And we let those close minded, opinionated, non God believing people learn the hard way what's fact and that their opinion may not always be right, but it is THEIR opinion!

No Rumbling goin on here... I'm 26yrs old it's not worth fighting with a 40something yr old.... don't want him to have a coronary....lol just joking Fish!

Good post Scrub, I read it right after I posted on the "Croom" thread,

thanks for postin it, what I think is sad about that day is how many people & E.M.S. that are alive today feel bad about not being there w/ there people, that probably hurts, a lot are prob. still goin to therapy for it.

I refinished floors in a house in S.Tampa for a guy who worked at CHASE & got transferred down here, we talked about that day, he was in one of those buildings & left before it happened, he was talkin about it & broke down & started crying, told me he was sorry, I told him I was sorry.
His name is Sal if anybody here works for CHASE in Tampa by the airport might know him, great guy.

The reason were not that open minded is because we KNOW the truth and what is going to happen. Why listen to some crap someone says when its based on lies and guesses? I feell bad for you people that dont believe in God and that believe the wrong things. I hope for all of you to get saved.

Not to start a fight here but that statement in itself sounds closed minded to me, I would think if you were open minded not all people who do not believe in god would be close minded, just a thought.

I'd have to look thru my files to get his last name, it's been a couple yrs, don't know what department he worked in, but do know he was kinda high up in the company I guess, had a NY accent, med. build, dark hair.
Real cool dude.

Ive always thougth there was a "reason" for something happening, good or bad. Something really bad happened to me back in july and I cant find a good reason in it. One very small probable one, but not a big deal, especially compared to the "bad" part. So most of the time I can find a reason.

Would I be closed minded if I said all the religious people I know think they are better than everyone else, point fingers and talk about everyone else like a bunch of old ladies with nothing better to do, or would it just be a statement?  You just classified every non God believing person as closed minded and opinionated.  I agree what you said it is just a statement, but grouping every non God believer into one category is to me judgemental and closed minded as well what I said with my opening statement, that every religious person I know acts like an old stuck up bitty.  I am sorry I don't mean to start a whole religious debate, but it really isn't about religion, just sounded hypocritical all in the same post to call a group of people (this case non god) closed minded then claim yourself (god fearing) open minded.  I personally think classifying a group of people is close minded.
