Through the next couple of months there will be several changes made at our facility.
*Our website is shut down and being re-designed by another company. The old webmaster would not keep it current, so it is being changed where it will be user friendly and current.
*We have cancelled our Fall Kart Points Series, and we will not race karts on a regularly scheduled basis. Karts will only race at special events.
*We will be adding payouts to several classes, both flat track and TT, such as Open Quad, Micro Sprint, Mini Sprint, Pro Bike, etc.
*We will add knobby classes for ATV's to both TT and Flat Track races.
*The track surface will be re-worked with a stabilization and traction additive. This will also help with surface consistency and to help repel water.
The details of these changes are still being sorted out, and I will let everyone know when they will be implemented.

It will depend on track conditions. When the track is hard (like on Sunday practice days), knobbies don't affect the track surface at all. When the track is wet, knobbies will run last. It be decided from race to race.
The track surface is going to be pulled up, and an additive put in the clay to help keep hard, give it MAD grip, and, help it repel water.

GOOD CALL BRADY!! ocala track has been known in the past for being slick and very inconsistant!
which proves to be a handfull for the racers and setting up their machines. i think hooking it up somemore is a GREAT idea! i dont know about everyone else but i feel MUCH safer on a track that hooks hard then one thats slick! at least when there is traction you can steer but when its slick you pretty much got to steer with the throttle! so when is this going down? after the last sftl race or sooner than that? i think this is something this track has always needed! good job brady! keep up the good work!

The traction issue has not been a problem for the last several of our races. We have had a blue grooved, tire melting track for the last few flat track races. My main goal is to help repel the damaging rain, which is the enemy of the track
. I can't give you an exact date of the track work, just whenever my work schedule allows a crew to go over there.

Looks like a home run! That side-by-side class ought to be a crowd pleaser
. When does next season begin? Will there be points? Spring, Summer, and Fall series?

I'm thinking the season to begin in Feb.
?
I think a year long season is too much. I think maybe 2 seasons for next year?
Yeah, the side by side class should definately be fun. I'm seeing some broken parts in our Rhino's future.LOL.

Yes, I see a lot of different series run split seasons. Our kart racing was split up into 3 seasons last year, which was actually too much. I think like Ben said, a "Spring" and "Fall" type points series would work out good, and be the easiest for the racers and the track to keep up with. That way the summer rains wouldn't be as big of a problem as they were this past year.
Now we just need some sponsors......

Hey bro did you forget about the bike guys already? I like to race for $$$ to.
*We will be adding payouts to several classes, both flat track and TT, such as Open Quad, Micro Sprint, Mini Sprint, Pro Bike, etc.
Good call on adding the traction additive to the surface and started the program earlier in the day.

Whats up Shawn. You haven't been to a race in a while. You should see this clay up here now, mucho traction.
No I didn't forget about the bike guys. You're an Open class bike, which will be a payout class.

Hello Brady, I planned on going to the Oct race but my daughter had strep throat so we stayed home and watched movies all weekend. We will be there tomorrow and I am looking forward to the new traction as that was my major defiency at the last race I attended and I need to hook up to hang with/ beat Kurt. Thanks for adding the $$ classes and I look forward to next season. Supermoto is dead except for the track days that Monty is organizing.

Gates? Like MX gates? Nooooooo
I'm putting in a starting area behind turn 4, so we can run the whole front straightaway off the starts for TT racing. I think maybe that's what you must have heard.

There will be an area behind turn 4 where we can line up 10 quads wide for the starts.
The starting area will be off of the main track, allowing us to drag race all the way down the front straightaway on the holeshots.
I hope to have it done by the 5th, we'll see.
