Glamis is an absolutely awesome place to ride. If you've never rode true sand dunes then you're missing quite an experience. Although you can ride Glamis anytime of the year you might want to plan your trip from Dec thru Mar otherwise you might be riding in 100+ degree temps. Sand dunes go 40+ miles - you used to be able to ride right into Mexico but that may have changed by now. Glamis is located a little north east of El Centro, CA which is at the very south eastern portion of the state (100 miles due east of San Diego) - not too far from Yuma, AR. Imagine sand bowls the size of small football stadiums and "Competition Hill" - just incredible!
Unlike most other places, when you encounter and uncommanded dismount - you just shake off the sand, stop laughing, and get back on your machine. The only and real danger to watch out for is on-coming traffic - that little scenario sends a lot of folks to urgent care.... use a flag (and a helmet)!!

My thoughts as well. Cant wait to jump a razorback & spray sand over one.

Glamis and MOAB are two places I'll go to before I die as well. An all year rond party on atv's and buggies, what could be better? Besides Mudfest?

:'(When I die, I don't want a casket. I'll only ask to lay me on the dunes, and let everyone roost me till I'm buried!!

Well it would not surprise me if one or more folks have kicked the bucket on the dunes -but I bet they went with a smile on their face ........
Here's a link to some more Glamis pics - I think there's a couple of the dunes at Florence, Or which is another 40 mile stretch of fantastic riding except that at certain times of the year you can ride the dunes right down and onto the beach (in and out of the surf - all that good stuff).

I went through Cali a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't have a quad. I definately would of hit that place if I did.
