Cry  We had planned to ride at Croom yesterday but we had to put our boy Zeus down , his week long illness with gastritis and other intestinal problems along with many visits to the vet and meds, came to a sad end and his life would not be a quality one as he has known it...It is a very sad and empty feeling here.....and his sis has been looking for him  Cry.............

But he is pain free now and running and playing with family and other pets above............

Really Sorry, I know it hurt's. He's a beautiful dog.

Keep remembering what you said, that he is in a better place, just like when we lose  any loved one.

Nothing I can say will bring him back or make you feel better, IT'S GONNA TAKE TIME.

Maybe you can get another dog, I prob. would, it might help, especially if you have kid's.
My friend went thru the same thing recently w/ his G.Sheppard & his American Bulldog was wandering around the house like what's up, wheres he at ?(the Sheppard was the alpha dog)

He got another dog & know the American Bulldog is the alpha dog, kinda took his place, it's funny to see her act like the boss now.

Sorry to hear the news, I know how you feel.

The hardest thing I have ever done was to put my 13 year old dalmatian down.

Hang in there.

Susie ,
I know how you feel ,Monday  was a tough day ,I had to put down my pointer Lucky .
Its hard to accept the loss and having to look into her eyes for the last time in the vets office is something I'll never forget.
I only wish I had more time with her but my selfishness was no reason to prolong her suffering .
Those who've never had a good dog , may not understand how attached we become to our four legged family members.
Hang in there.

My dearest Lucky  you'll be missed .

:'(So sorry to hear about your beloved dog. It's very hard, but what you did for Zeus is the final act of love. He is in a very good place. I had to do the same thing for my Cleopatra last October. We did everything possible for her but the quality of life for her like it had been for 14.5 years was no longer there for her due to the failure of her kidneys. Time will heal your feelings but Zeus will not be forgotten. RIP Zeus

Sorry about your loss. I know how it is. I just lost my dog on July 10. I will always miss the guy! He was my childhood dog since I was in the 3rd grade.
