Just came back from the hospital, I was in since Thursday getting a kidney removed.  What a doosy, I always underestimate these things.  Just thought I'd type that up here.  I'm hoping to recover soon and get my fitness routine started back up.

Well, you seem to be in good spirits.
I suspect with that attitude you'll be back on your feet in no time.

Ouch.  Sorry to hear you had to lose a kidney.  Be careful and don't screw up the other one.  Hope you recover quickly.

I'm happy for you and everything, but I feel bad for the poor guy who doesn't have ANY kidneys, and might come along and read this post.

It's sorta like rubbing it in his face.

Wow, overwhelming support on this site.  Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement.  I'm up and about already, not even a week has gone by.  I have five small cuts held together with 3 staples and the big one that the kidney came out of that is held by 21 staples.  Not much pain at all anymore.

As far as the outlook, if you live in America, have a job/school, family, friends, and Jesus as your saviour, there's no way a kidney removal should be putting anyone's spirits down, and I mean that 100%.  There are about 50,000 people on the list waiting to receive a kidney because they've lost both, I'm doing great.  Thanks again everyone.

Years ago, I mean many years ago, I was dating a guy, and he rolled his truck.  When the took him to the hospital, they found out that there was an issue with one of his kidneys, apparently something he had always had and/or for a very long time.  They removed his kidney too, I clearly remember his recovery.  I also clearly remember that he recovered quickly and fully, and has been fine ever since, so I am sure that you will do the same.  A quick and full recovery.  God is pretty smart giving us two of those things ya know.... Wink

Speedy recovery, good luck, and keep us posted on your recovery.  Many thoughts and prayers are with you....
