Dare I even offer this information?   Wink   My crew and I attend the Pepsi 400 every year.  We sit in the Nextel Tower, just past the start/finish line.  Anybody else going?

I wish.  I was at Daytona for the Arca Remax 200 and the Budweiser Shootout in the pits.  My neighbor races so we got to be in the pits with everyone.  I wish I was going NASCAR is unexplainable being at the race compared to what you seeing it on tv.  Its a great experience being at the race.  Lucky you got tickets for the Pepsi 400 though

I stay on the racetrack grounds in my motorhome just so I can wait out the rain.  Last year was borderline ridiculous.  Race didn't end until 1 AM and didn't get back to the RV until almost 2.

No, I'm not calling you a liar.  I figured it was a lame shot at my missing the rally due to my fishing tournament.

I won't be there. Went to Daytona 500 this year for my first Nascar race ever, gotta say I didn't care for it, but my wife loves it so we will be going back. I will however goto any of the LeMans/Grand Prix series there such as Rolex 24hr. Maybe once I get my pilots license I will fly into all the events.

I'm in the West Parking Lot, just outside of turn two.  You're not so captive as when you are on the infield and it's still real easy to get to the track.  Scrub, I am a pilot and owned a plane for several years (182RG - it was a very sweet plane, loaded to the gills with avionics).  Flying into Daytona for a race is a nightmare.  They only do it by time slot.  Miss your slot and you don't land, or take off when it's time to leave.  It works for those coming in with high performance jet or turbine aircraft but for the typical GA aircraft, weather makes it too unpredictable.  Plus, from what I understand, the ramp fees are absurd on race weekends.  Better off renting a motorhome (if you don't own one) and staying on site if you don't like battling the traffic coming and going.

I'm not sure if I'm actually going to sit in my seats.  Last year, the guys who park next to me brought a projector screen and LCD projector tv.  It was very cool to be able to sit outside, watch the race on the BIG screen, hear the cars on the track live and party with all the friends we've made over the years that park next to us.  If they don't bring the big screen, then I'll probably head to my seats.  At least I have one of the jumbotrons directly in front of me.

not sure, probably not. things have been tight lately and I dont have much time. My step brother worked for brumos porsche for a while as their body man. He also worked for MCR racing and Gunnar Racing. They are a blast. We will be at Sebring next year in the camper.

Pepsi 400? I've heard of this race. Isn't it that crazy one that Nascar does where they only take left turns? Or is that every other race in there series?
