God forbid if it was the suspect that hit the cop, they would have showered him with bullets.

To what extend should we trust law enforcement. If any of these kids were mine and I saw an officer treat my kid like this - I wouldn't think for a minute to take this cop down.

The first video is messed up. Hes supposed to take down the suspect without hurting the public or fellow officers.
The second video I do not have any pity for the kid. 10:1 the kid was cursing at the police officer and no one got that on tape. I have seen on first hand how skateboarders act around cops, they are little s****.

1. You don't take down a person that's not armed with a vehicle, I don't care who you are.
2. So what, yeah they are little sh!t but you don't treat a kid that way regardless.

1. They have no problem against it, and obviously no one else did because I dont see any lawsuits filed.
2. Yes, the kid probably deserved to be chokedout like that. Skateboarder kids always curse at cops, call them names, then skate around in circles if they chase them. I dont know about you, but when I was a kid growing up my parents would always say to others "If he gives you any lip feel free to bust his ass". And I know of plenty of other parents that would. The only reason a lawsuit could/would form out of that incident was the parents knew they could sue for alot of money.

That cop shouldnt have been so brutal with 13yr olds but im sure they were being little jackasses prior to camera being on. A lot of these kids have skateparks to go to but they rather skate in the street and thats why they get busted.
as for the last video, thats horrible but if you ever watch cops that guy shouldnt of just mased him and walked away. Theres some really crappy people out there that will do anything not to sit in a squad car. I wouldnt of bothered putting two in his chest, i would of aimed for his head. Sucks that guy and his kid had to witness it.

Yeah but did you notice that the cop arrested the kids friends just for asking the cop why he was arresting their friend. Skateboarding is not a crime, and cursing at a cop is no reason to choke the kid, and slam him on the comcrete. That happened to a friend of mine and he was polite to the officer and the officer still bashed him on the ground, however my friends parents did file a compliant.

Skateboarding is a crime when you do it somewhere its prohibited! Ever see the signs at stores saying "No skateboards, bicycles, or rollerblades?" If you do any of those things listed its a crime and you can go to jail. Those kids were doing exactly that, they were outside of a building skating 10:1. I see no skatepark in sight.

Well I am older and wiser now but as a teen skate back in the day we always hated the fact that there was no where to skate (kind of like no where to ride our atvs now).....
We skated anywhere we could until we were told to leave......I have been sited a few times and warned many.....
The cop was a bit harsh but he had a job to do and when he has that many punk teens he has to have the upper hand or the over the edge toughness to maintain control, other wise the kids don't have any fear and would have probably wacked the cop w/ there skateboards...
Luckily these days most towns/counties have skate parks, we did not have anyting of the sort....
Skated behing grocery stores, in parking garages, in concrete ditches.......
When the first kid ran and the cop chased him the rest could have jetted and as long as the runner did not get caught he did not have any names to go w/......The kids could have met up later and cut the cuffs off......
Yeah yeah,,Realistically they did right by sitting there and waiting......
Video brought back some memories,,,,lol

Rebel I suppose you only ride 100% legal areas right? You saying "all skateboarders" sounds very familiar to what many say about ATV riders although we know it to be untrue. They're just a few kids skateboarding, what is the major crime being committed to deserve being arrested? Yeah, they probably smarted off to the officer but does that really justify being treated that severely? And we wonder why we (USA) have such a problem with prison and jail overcrowding. I would much rather see my tax dollars being spent on something more serious than a smart azz kid skateboarding where he shouldn't be. I betting there was something else more serious going on within a half mile of there that would have actually made a difference if the police got involved and actually arrested a real criminal.

DUROC...thank you for poinitng out the obvious.....it's funny how one little group of kids can define all skateboarders....thats wonderful...just lump 6 individuals into one group and call them all little shits!
well what about the videos we see of the guys in the hood riding drtbikes and quads down the highway cutting off traffic with no helmets....is that the atv community image you want to represent? think about it........

It seems to me we are becoming more and more like a police state, everyday.
The reality of the situation is that the small group of people who make the laws in that jurisdiction do not represent the skaters or their rights. Without representation, they are forced to conform. You either do what the laws say or the police will use force on you! That's a police state. They have no say in the laws that they must abide by.
They protest by not conforming, and you see what happens.
This is why we must resume the search for "Animal Chin"!
Is Chirstian Hosoi out yet?

You can't say that these few represent the group! That's just not accurate.

I had to go deep into my bag of obscure references for that one.
You'll have to google "Search for animal Chin" and "Christian Hosoi" on your own. Only old school skaters from back in the day will know those terms.

Hosoi is out now.
Animal Chin was a skateboarder movie featuring the Bones Brigade..Tony Hawk, etc.
It's way old. Before there was such a thing as DVD's and we had to put these plastic things into a machine called a "VCR".
