done, have reservations to stay in the squirrels nest for
a couple nights-can't wait-work is dragging by in the mean
time.

Dude, I was just up there last weekend and stayed in the squirrel nest.  It has a bunk bed and bathroom and that's it, also a small tv.  Also it is right in front and you can sit on the porch and watch everybody riding to and from.  Also has a picnic table and fire pit.  Had a blast.  Chris505 turned me on to the place.  have been twice now.  tips?.....  take your own food.  they serve breakfast ($6.00), lunch ($8.00), and supper ($8.00).  And it taste OK but not as good as a bubba burger on the little smokey joe!  They also have a bike/atv wash station to clean all the Ga mud off.  They have gas but it is way expensive.  Take your own gas cans.  Current riding hours are from 9am to 5pm but that should change with the time change this weekend.  The trails are awesome, don't worry if it rains alot, there are ways around the big mud holes.  And the slick mud is a blast!  My white raptor was mud red.  At first I was trying to keep the mud from slinging on it and then after a while it was everywhere and looked like a pig in  the mud!  I'll try to post a pic after this reply.  The tracks are also a blast, you can get as much "air" as you want/can handle.  The drag race is also very cool.  Everybody wants to race the raptor, so I was busy....win some, lose some.  Also check out Kennys hills.  I could go down them but could not climb the big ones...think it's a ute thing.

Anyway, y'all will have a blast, beats the crap out of sand and whoops.

As jeff said be self contained, gas food,,,dont rely on them for to much....they have the key west attitude....
Also there are a couple stores and gas station  about 6-8 miles in union point..so if you forget something it is not a problem....
Great fun a spot not to be missed...

Oh and if they have the night ride (DO IT) it has been the best 10 dollars i spent in a long time.... My wife and son also did it and they loved it,, Kenny the guide was awesome he will not let you get lost but he sure can move threw there at night ....they take you were the everyday rider does not get to go.. VERY CLEAN trails... good luck
bring us back some pictures  Grin

the cabins are pretty basic,, nothing special,, but you are not in the cabin that much during the day your riding and at night its campfire time or night ride,, but they do have heat and air, tv bath/shower.... some are set up better than others,,
depending on how many people you have staying,,,
the last time we were there i went and inspected most of the cabins and there layouts.... so i would know which one to get..next time
here is there site with the rates,,,,http://www.durhamtown.com/lodging.html

there are a couple of duplexes type,, that is the one i stayed in last time( mallards nest 2) the people next door we seen i think twice.. the whole 4 days,, they rode and then stayed in the cabin,, it was a married couple so who knows... Grin
But is was nice fire pit right in front of a wooded area,, not facing the lodge or road...

been meaning to post something sooner-waiting for tim to post the pics.  We had a great time.  This place is unbelievably fun-couldn't have imagined up a better facility.  3 mx tracks-lots of doubles, some triples and minimul (sp?) whoops.  The trails are a blast-very fast with lots of jumps
throughout-trails are also very well maintained-even when riding we ran across the front end loader making new jumps and fixing the old.  Wished it could have rained a little-very dusty on trails-still clearing clay from various orifices.  The 2 front adult mx tracks had a tractor with water come out every so often to wet it down-also did this with the pee wee track.  The back mx track was very dry-but very addictive-smooth jumps and fast.  Look for pics to be posted soon in the photo gallery.  I would highly recommend durhamtown to everyone-seems like it would be more fun with a 2wd sport quad or dirt bike-I could be wrong about that.
