I've been looking forward to a trip like this for a while,,,,,,and I know you guys expect a "BUT" in there, well here goes.
A coworker of mine gave me a cold late this week, and I could just shoot them for coming into work hacking their lungs out, but oh well.
I think I coulda been alright without the rain, but with the rain, who knows what I would have by the end of the ride.
I will still be coming up there, so campers please don't cancel your trips, I just will not be making the long ride,,,,I've had some pretty bad upper respiratory stuff before and don't want to go there again.
who knows, I could get lucky and this storm might not throw much rain on us, and I'd be happy to show some people around shorter trails for those who are staying behind.

Dakota and I will drop some gas I think. How far can I go on a 250cc 2x4 with a 2.8 gallon tank? Sorry about your cold Ida.

My 250ex will go over 70 miles before reserve is needed if that gives you any idea.

So I probably only need another gallon of has then? Could probably push it the last mile or so if I had to.

all depends on how you ride it,,,,,Steve was that 70 miles going as fast as you ride it, or someone else? ;-)
my 400EX will go about 60 miles before hitting the reserve and another 10 on the reserve.
but that's just putting around.

Hers's hopeomg that the rain has past the ONF by tomorrow. Something has come up and I will need to be on the road back home by 2:30.
Id@, if you are up for it I would like to take a shorter ride. Maybe ride some short trails then back to your place then ride some more.
Hollywood, I am still planing on stoping for breakfast at the HH in GCS so if you are still planing on going I will see you @ 6:00 AM.

Hey Ida!
Did you realize that this ride/camp is same weekend as the LMK last year?....
I just realized that and thought it is neat that everyone is finding their way back there a year later

Mrs.Nightbreed, I was not on the site last year. What is LMK? I know that LMK must be LakeMaryKid, but what are you talking about? Nothing bad I hope.

Ida- Yes that was 70 even with me on it I mean come on it only has a 110 main jet. lol
jbbj- Yea I am still coming but something came up as far as meeting you in the am. We are going to head down to Ocala tonight and staying overnight to pick up Candice's son so he can ride his new quad with us tomorrow. Needless to say with all the rain and being his 1st day on the new quad I think we'll just stick around close to Ida's. Plus it may be a little later than expected before we get there. I'll send you a PM.

What a waste of a good morning to stay in bed. Got up @ 0430 made coffee and finished loading up. Checked weather and it did not look to bad, went outside to finish loading up and still no rain and it looked like it had not rained all night. Pulled out and went down to GCS to HH for breakfast, still no rain. Had breakfast and then headed south, still no rain. About Bostwick strated to just sprinkel and not looking good to the south. By the time I got to the Palatka Mall it was raining (pouring) so hard that I could not hardly see and it looked like, due to the puddles it had been raining most of the night. So I gave it up tuned around and now I am back home and bike is back in the garage.
Oh well there is always another day.
Id@ thanks for the offer to use your place to stage out of, maybe we can do it another day.

D*** I should have come on down. If nothing else could have hung out and had a BS session and got to know you guys. that would have been better than spending the day in the house.

This is the ride formerly known as the scout ride....now called the HARDCORE Scout Ride! To my crew I'd ride w/ y'all anytime. Nice to see a few of us still stick it out. Line up of the hardcore riders: QT, Shulco, jjamesbar, Odie and wife, Wilburz, Dakota, Autotek, Chillinthemost.
Id@ thanks for everything I really appreciate your generocity. Sorry you weren't feeling well. I know after we left Hollywood and crew and a few others showed up for a shorter ride. Sorry I missed you this time. You guys left camp like 30 minutes before we got back. Nice meeting all the new people.
