I have recently aquired a pull sled which is sized for ATV's. It's a sliding weight transfer sled just like the big sleds that the trucks and big tractors pull on TV, just smaller. I will need to go over the sled to make sure it's mechanically sound, and then in the next month or so I will build a clay track so that we can have ATV and small tractor pulls.

I will post more info on the track size, classes, etc. as I get it together.

Yes, the various 4x4 utility quad classes would probably be the most popular around here. The Rincon would work fine, as long as it's in gear...There are 2 wheel drive classes as well. I'm still getting info on how the races are run, track dimensions, classes, etc.

Oh, and just so you know, I don't think you're gonna be allowed to pull backwards. Grin

I happen to know that there is a few people over around Crystal River area, who are big into "lawnmower" style tractor pulling. I am not sure how you can get the info to them, but I know they would enjoy it and that they only get a chance to do it about once or twice a year now.

I've heard there is a group over there that's pretty big into it. After talking around to some people, it seems there are quite a few people into the small tractor pulling. More than I would have thought actually.

yes, we are trying to get together.  I will be talking to him a bit more this weekend at the Photoshoot.  We have an unbelievably busy weekend with events.  I have not been able to sit down and talk to him in great depth......but I will try this weekend.  Things should be calming down.........at least i hope, i may have to start drinking more!  lol
