I dont think the magic can do anything about it, he hasn't signed a contract yet. I think the biggest thing is will Florida allow him to come back?

Yes he does already have a signed contract with Orlando. That is what is the issue right now. If he can get out of that, he will be back. And yes, Florida will gladly accept him back with a big paycheck.

I say crappy deal for both the Magic and the Gators now,,,,,the Gators because they have a coach that is not "challenged" per his own words, and the Magic because they have to deal with a coach now who knows VERY publicly that he was not their first choice.

I would have loved to see Donovan come to Orlando, but oh well.

Really?  Did you have a nice long talk with Donovan about his decision?  I'm pretty sure if she hadn't wanted him to go, she would of let him know before he went and signed a 5 year contract. Maybe the guy really did just change his mind about leaving? hmm...

exactly. just cause thats the way your house is run but that dont mean every house is like that. he just realized how stupid of a mistake he made and came to his senses. the boosters dont care about b-ball that much so there aint too much pressure on him. its a football school. donavan can have a sub .500 season and no one really cares too much. if Meyer loses to the criminoles or someone, he is under a close watch until he fixes it. Donovan has the perfect situation. a AD that loves him, fans that love him, a community that loves him and his whole family is there. o and the huge paycheck he will be getting.

he is 42 years old! he has what? 15-20 years left of coaching? look what Floridas stats were for the first 77 years and then look at the last 11. yea he needs some more wins, championships, and what not but he has had a amazing career so far. he is a great recruiter too. he can continue to bring great teams and be a final four contender every year. only time will tell but if he stays on this track, he will be a great coach one day. wait and see.
