Ok Don I'm a bit lost here.  Can you please explain how changing sexes and pedifiles are related?  He/She is still a person like everyone else.  He/She didn't feel like the outside matched the inside feelings.  Would it have been better to have lived life a lie?  Seems to me he/she is doomed either way.  Stay the same sex and be considered a liar, change sexes and take the ridicule of others that are scared.  IMO if he/she can do the job then sex or sex change shouldn't matter.

Ok, my first statement as usual was to attempt to lighten the situation.  If you haven't read my posts I'm generally making jokes about something.  As for my second statement.  I still feel that he is capable of doing the job.  I do feel bad for the son.  How confusing it must be and what a horrible experience this must be for him and his mother.  Freak or not if the job gets done that's what's important.

I wouldn't consider a man w/ long hair or a woman w/ short hair any less of their gender.  Why should I care if someone dresses different?

It pisses me off, when my son asked me one day, hey mama what's gay mean. Of course, since he was only 7, I responded means happy.  But no it didn't take long that I had to try and explain it to him.  It's bad enough that kids know what sex is at like 9 years old, if not younger, but then you have to explain to your child why to men want to be together, and I am sorry there is no explaining it.  I believe in the word of God, and I try to live by it the best way I can.  It's bad enough that they take prayer out of school, but now they want to take Elementary age kids and teach them about homosexuality in the class room, and that is "normal" to be gay.  You know what, if you can't teach my child about God in the classroom, then leave your damn lifestyle out of our children's classroom.

Some of you may say, what the hell does it have to do with this, it has everything to do with this.  Tolerance, everyone has to respect and be tolerant of one's sexuality.  But you see, tolerance in this Country is a one way street.  See you are to be tolerant of one's sexual orientation, but you can't not be tolerant of ones religious belief. The are two very distinct sides to this discussion.  One is tolerance, and one is the people's belief in God.  See you can speak on Sexual tolerance, but one can't even say "In God We Trust", without having to go on the defense.  And you want to know why that is?  Cause there is no tolerance in the Word of God, the Bible is very CLEAR on this subject, but everyone is too affraid to bring it up, because it may be seen as intolerant.  Well I stand up and say, it is not what God intended us to be, and He is very clear on the subject.

After enduring years of hanging chad jokes, pretty much everything negative in FL results in a whole new round of country wide Florida humor. I am not so far from the area, and the only Largo I know is in Monroe County, and it is a Key. How is someone from Nebraska going to view this...? Florida, that's how. I don't like being lumped in with a bunch of yahoos who have a man dressed as a woman doing anything for the city, county or state.
 

The whole point I was making was that sexuality has nothing to do with how the job was being performed. Morally I do not agree with it but who am I to judge. Like I said the 20/20 episode on transgender people was very enlighting. Have you ever seen anything pertaining to a transgender 6yr old? Would it be sick if a 12yr old child wanted to do this after living all those years feeling they don't belong in their own body.

I guess I don't understand why everyone is getting so bent out of shape about this. Seriously does her choice to become a woman affect any of you personally? NO it dosen't...I do not even feel bad for her former wife, she knew he felt this way for a long time.

The voters elected a man to whatever position HE holds. They were never made aware of this crazy 'I want to be a woman' side when they were electing him. That makes him a liar and untrustworthy. Anyone who feels free to indulge such a crazy whim is borderline insane IMO, and in no way qualified to hold any sort of public office.

I am not saying here that no one is entitled to an opinion either....

I guess I see this all so differently than anyone else because in high school there was a transgender male that went from male to female. The things people did to her were so mean and horrible, I am suprised she never committed suicide. Students wanted her out of honors classes because she was different not because she wasn't smart. Same thing here - get rid of him because he is different not because he couldn't do the job.

It is nice that you are so enlightened, really. The only experience I have with 'transgendered' males is at two bars I am forced to service the NTN game system in Key West at. I can assure EVERYONE here, these people are not right by ANYONES standards! Perhaps these folks are not representative of the whole 'chop off the jewels and dress like a woman crowd', but it is seriously nothing I would ever wish on my worst enemy,( driving four hours to service these machines )
and the one helper who I trained to fix these systems flat out refuses to ever return. I can't blame him, and if it wasn't a very important client to me, neither would I.

The bottom line is, when you sign on the dotted line of an employment application, it clearly asks "M/F". When this pig took office IT was classified as a "M". Now IT wants to change that. Give me a break. If you or I lie on our employment application we can be terminated immediately. I have fired people more than once for lying on an employment application. The city of Largo is forever tarnished by this thing. IT has ruined IT's son & wifes lives. I hope like hell that Sarasota is just humoring these idiots.
