Well i was on the phone with the guy today asking if they were open this weekend.. and he said yes but if your looking to camp the campground is full right now....

So anyone thought they would camp this week at croom is out of luck....

full right now?-and booked till the end of the weekend???Hopefully they will clear out sooooon!!!!!

i called about 4:30 pm and thats what they told me...they are full..and good luck...

Looking to go camping up Ocala way this weekend..need a place with hookups for an RV, but will also take tents...

any ideas?

Somebody was talking about a campground just east of big scrub on 42,, anyone know any info on this place,,, they said it has hookups and a pool?Huh?

There is only one official campground at "Big Scrub". Of 42 your on your own...

Big Scrub has basic bathrooms and water in the center camping area. No power. Gen sets off at 10pm $5.00  a night. Ride out right from your RV or tent.

I found a place down off 40 near 588, @Mill Dam , they even have cabins....w00t! heading up friday PM.

off of 40 near 588 (she told me 6-8 miles to scrub, plus u can 'ride out' from there but apparently u have to cross 40, and she said the cops don't like it. I think I got the last cabin for this weekend.

oops...I think it's called Mill Dam lake resort...not 100% sure on that...nothing like a little adventure on trying to find a place u made reservations too, and u don't even know the name...Yeah buddy!

I've stayed at Mill Dam numerous times. It's a great little place for the price.
From Mill Dam you have to take 40 east 5 miles to 588 then south on 588 9 miles to Big Scrub.
You can also follow the fence line west to the last entrance of the mobile home park (mill dam lake) and jump in the woods there. It is a beautiful place to ride around the lake.
