Hey guys,
I was out there about a month ago. During the week...no one else out there. I found a cop to ride with so we thought that would help. Within 30 minutes, a police helicopter flew over us and circled us as we raced back to the trailer. We got out of there that day with no problem. The pen was too wet to ride for sport quads anyway. A few days later, my cop buddy went back out there and he got stopped by a deputy on Burnt Store Rd. He was let off because he was a cop, but the deputy said it was now just the luck of the draw. If you get caught, you wil get a ticket and or have the quad impounded. And yes, I have been past there quite a few times and they have started clearing out sections already. They have a large construction road built just north of the fire station. I don't know what they are gonna do out there, but it looks like our riding days at the Yucapen are gone. I hear people are riding Northport again. Maybe we can hook up and ride up there some time. Flat Out and Pauly V500 were up there last weekend. I'll ask them how it was.

GreggT

We didnt get to go down to the yucapan this past weekend so I went to Northport instead.  We had a good time, there are a lot of trees down though crossing trails and stuff. Just make sure you stay off the roads and the cops shouldn't mess with ya.

Almost makes me cry, all of the fun times me and my dad had out there. Its goin to be hard to find a place like that around here with that much riding area and all different types of terrain. That would have been a great place for the state to buy the land and turn inot an ORV Park for our area. Yeah, definatley come out to North Port, but I was a little unpleased on Sunday around 3:00 to 5:00. There wer just too many idiots riding out there doing wheelies and such up and down the middle of the roads and racing down the roads. It is that kind of stuff and those type of people who are going to put us through hard times again with NPPD and cause a dilemma in opening the area to riding. And one guy in particular was riding a new CRF250r with no shirt and just helmat and shorts on riding up and down the roads and happened to see him while loading up with road rash all over his back. Anyway just hope to kinda police the area to stop things like this. I will be at the next meeting for sure.
