This is what I read...

Now, Earnhardt must decide which team is the best fit for him. He said he would like to continue to drive Chevrolets, which will limit his options. It's also likely his primary sponsor, Budweiser, will move with him to the new team.

They just said it was likely...So I will go with the 'still up in the air'.

Jr. needs a change anyway. He had some success afew years ago. But latley he's had some bad luck.  A change might do him some good.  He'll defintely stay with Bud and I think with chevolet

I'm no fan of hers but don't count DEI out yet.She kept it going for a couple years without Dale and it was / is still very successful.I'm not talking specifically wins I'm talking sponsorships, advertising, sales etc etc. It will never be as successfull as it was with Dale or JR int the camp but it's still a strong company and with the right driver and a few wins who knows?

Budweiser would be crazy for not staying with him.He could get any sponsor he wants. As far as Goodwrench I'm almost positive their not sponsoring anyone.I no they dropped Harvick(now penzoil is primary sponsor) but they might still be a "small sponsor".

Go JR!!!!!

"Budweiser, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Dale Earnhardt, Inc. have enjoyed a great relationship since 1999. Dale Jr., and his father before him, have been excellent and loyal ambassadors for our company and the sport of NASCAR. Budweiser and JR Motorsports have an agreement in place to ensure Dale Jr. will continue to personally represent Budweiser through 2008, and we look forward to discussing our future with Dale Jr. and DEI in the weeks ahead."

--Tony Ponturo, vice president, global media and sports marketing, Anheuser-Busch, Inc.

this is what Bud has to say about the situation

i think he will go to RCR and drive the 8 if DEI will sell it. he will probably keep Bud. they would be stupid for not staying with him. i would personally hate to see him drive the 3 car. nobody should ever be able to drive it again. jr is an actor then race car driver. he spends more time doin commercials and crap than he does at the track. he is really not that great a driver. yea he won a daytona 500 but look at some other losers that won that race. anyone can win there. he has some other wins too but there are probably 15 drivers that are better than him right now. maybe 20.

Toyota is gonna be a force to be reckoned with in 3-5 years. look at the trucks. a chevy/ford dominated series was completely taken over by Toyota. has anyone else even won a race this season? at daytona there were 9 of 10 in the top 5 in qualifying. if they get some decent drivers and nascar quits riggin the races so hendrick wins, Toyota will kick some butt. i cant wait either.

I knew the truck series talk would come up. Thats the little league son. Cup is the big boys. Just look @ all the x-cup drivers in that series that couldn't cut the mustard in Cup.

And with that "can't wait either" attitude. You & millions of other people in this country with that "lets buy foreign" attitude. By the time your my age (46) , you will have long been useing Yen instead of Dollars.

Just think about that for a while !! Have a nice day  Smiley

i tried to pry some info out of my boss because his son is the gas man for truex jr. and emplyed by dei. he said that dale jr. is still being very secretive and hasnt released much info. but most likely truex still has two years on his contract with dei and will wait that out because hes not worth the money for dale or rcr to buy out his contract.  dale jr. will most likely race for rcr with probably a black #3 budweiswer. this is what ive heard from a dei employee
