Cool you see what they have done to onf.,Rodman pit, eureka pit and area.we need every signature we can get to stop the BS. this not just a florida problem this is happening all over the country but we can stop it if we have the numbers.

hey thanks for bringing this back to the top it shows that people are still reading and signing.my honest opinion is that it would be easier to stop OUR public lands from being closed than trying to get them reopened after they get closed.and there would most likely be alot less redtape beurocratic bs involved I thank everyone who has and who will sign the petition for helping me,yourselves, and future generations to still be able to enjoy OUR public lands  THANK YOU    Russ

Not to throw a rock in the pond but after reading the information, I wonder what their ultimate goal is.  The only reference to preservation of our sport is for the use of the elderly or handicapped.  Read this from their website:

"There is a way & it is called the Semi-Primitive BackCountry Recreation Designation. It will preserve access to Public Lands for Future Generations. Ensure your grandkids are still able to ride a trail bike on existing forest trails to your favorite remote mountain lake. Ensure disabled people can reasonably access the backcountry on ATV’s or 4x4’s on designated trails. It will promote greater biodiversity through active management under the strictest regulations in the world."

I don't think any of us like to use trail bikes to access our wilderness areas and few of us are elderly or disabled (in another area they refer to elderly and disabled access to these wilderness areas).  This could be a veiled attempt by the tree huggers to get us to sign a petition against ourselves.  I would like to see more clearly written goals of this organization prior to any additional signatures on this petition.  You really need to read their literature before you blindly sign this petition.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading". --Thomas Jefferson

"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves ... a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."
